I mean tbf youre job is to keep the tank alive not the dps if the dps are taking avoidable damage its on them now of its unavoidable damage and they dont pop a defenisve or a cd still on them healing is easy domt over think it because dps are doofuses if they call you a bad healer just goes to show how little they ubderstand mechnica
As a range I just don’t bring pres evokers. Not worth the headache.
To me it sounds like you have never done a high key before. And using simple armory I see you haven’t even gotten the lowest achievement. There is a lot of unavoidable damage in M+.
Reading is fundamental
I’m new to this particular class. doesn’t matter if i healed for 16 years (on and off) this class is completely different compared to resto druid. Also I’ve only done keys since BFA. I did 20s in BFA on my druid
Because you have no range. To the point that people come to the forums to cry that ranged dps don’t stand with melee so you can hit them with your breath.
lmao…
yeah unfortunately I’m not the only one. I googled it and i saw a few forums on different sites where preservation evokers were complaining about the same thing.
Don’t waste time telling, grip em to reposition a few times, and then let them sweat until they learn.
What she said ^
Why dont you just stand behind them
Temporal Anomaly and Dream Breath both work in a proximity to the Evoker casting. So even if you are in front of your ranged players 2-3 yards you’ll still hit them if you’re casting away from them at the melee.
Multiple range standing in opposite sides, the reccomended advice of kidnapping players with Rescue and using Echo a lot is good.
Just like april showers bring may flowers, cat always land on their feet, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, a perfectly positioned healer will make the dps run away…
Lol hows this affect anything? Everyones new to the class and range not just you or one person. Dudes got the legendary from doing normal raid and scared to heal anything past a 14? Only done keys since BFA? Cool keys only started 1 previous expansion to BFA so have healed keys for over 80% of the time its been out. If adapting to a new class is this hard maybe just stick to what you’re good at.
I know your pain and I just let these people die
If I will do my best with non cone abilities but if they don’t suffice too bad you will die
This does not change from +1 to +25. I have done both. Hunters, particularly BM hunters, are dead-set 100% determined and almost seem to be paid in tendies/wow tokens to run behind you and/or to narnia.
I love pres but good god it’s like wrangling cats to get people to sit in cone radius. Which is pretty damn far. Thankfully there is echo
Love me a melee heavy group, though. Especially since the chance to blossom.
Only thing i don’t like is no real emergency single target healing, and verdant embrace’s functionality. Thankfully i usually heal a monk tank, and because of some weird interactions, A single reversion can take them from 1% to full health.
I am adjusting to healing ranged, it’s not so bad. Just takes some practice. Of course I only run low keys so it could be way worse on higher keys. Raid, what little I have done if you can call it raiding, seems ok.
The only problem I have with prevoker is that there is STILL no design justification for the range disadvantage. The decision was completely arbitrary and has to this day not been given any logical reasoning from anyone, including Blizzard themselves. Until that changes, the spec is gonna be harder and less enjoyable than it should be. It has an objective drawback with no benefit to balance it. Laughably stupid and should have been nixed ages ago.
Isn’t the justification, the same as why something is melee vs ranged, why a bm hunter can do full rotation while moving?
As for power, not exactly dead last, so with range, it would increase somewhat.
It’s the only healer in a sea of paladins if you sort healers by m+ rating.
I’m playing Prevoker main, meanwhile I don’t care where DPS is standing, I Pre echo them anyways before doing anything. If I have an Echo active they can go to Himalaya or Sahara Desert and I will still hit them with Dream Breath.
I’m at 22ish Keys right now and if you know DPS don’t care about you being Prevoker, so you need to adapt to it, which makes you a better Healer.
Don’t complain about, learn how to workaround.
they run…
whenever i position myself behind a dps they run away from me. It’s to the point where if i have a key and I’m pugging a mythic i do not accept ranged dps. I just don’t feel like chasing them down and trying to heal them as they stand in Zimbabwe
don’t need your elitism dude. you are everything thats wrong with the community.
if I have anxiety about healing higher keys that’s on me to work around, not on you to berate me and be condescending. you could’ve kept your toxic input to yourself, or give it to the misfortune souls that decide to play games with you.
