Correct. But you’ll notice people keep referring back to some of the items that have the text underneath that says “check back soon.” This one does not. Therein lies the concern we keep seeing in here.

There can be any number of reasons why a digital item is limited. Licencing issues, a desire to limit the number appearing in-game, or even wanting to create a sense of urgency to participate. Just because a digital asset can be duplicated infinitely, doesn’t always mean the licence holder wishes it to.

Same as FFXIV’s mountain dew zu mount. Im guessing its because its based on X amount of codes sent out.
Because its code-based. Blizz needs to create new codes and send them to MT dew.

In both cases, certainly in the first, these are problems that will be rectified after a complaint.
I remember ordering a Kindle back in the early days of Kindles, so hopefully the statute of limitations has been reached here, but my Kindle was not delivered on time. I waited days, checked tracking, and it had been “sent back to the facility.”
So I complained to Amazon. Who then sent me a Kindle overnight.
The original Kindle showed up a few days later. Bonus Kindle.
Not being a doormat generally improves service.

That wouldn’t surprise me given the codes were printed right on the bag out in the open. I was kind of worried that when I bought them that the codes would already have been redeemed.
Yeah bought 6 of the bottles, wasn’t going to open them all at once just for the codes so missed the bike. If Blizzard is going to allow digital items to sell out, this is the last promotion I participate in and won’t be buying it if they put it in the store either.

I saw a lot of folks on reddit claim the codes were already redeemed. That was just bad.

Doritos put their codes on the outside of the bags, not inside like Mt dew. So people snatched codes taking pics. Purchase not required…fail.

That doesn’t make it any less dumb. I bought the Mountain Dew for the codes; Blizzard screwed me over; I would not have bought two 12 packs if I knew I couldn’t get the mount anymore.

Yeah, I had a feeling that this would happen.
The same thing happened with the Mountain Zhu mount in FF XIV during their Mountain Dew promotion. Still a shame to see though. Hopefully they will restock the site with more redemptions, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Mountain Dew Gaming has been pretty clear about what is or isn’t coming back, hence the “We are releasing limited quantities of this reward on Monday!” on various items and a complete lack of such a clarification on others.
