Mt Dew and World of Warcraft again

So back in 2009, Blizzard and Pepsi Beverages North America had a 10 week promotion going on that promoted World Of Warcraft on their new signature Mt Dew Game Fuels. Fast forward 11 years and nothing has been done since, like that except maybe the constant Call of Duty promotions on Mt Dew.

With Shadowlands coming up, wouldn’t it be awesome if PepsiCo would print some of the Covenants on the cans of their Game Fuels? Maybe have like a promotion where if you buy a can, you get points like you would with CoD Mt Dew, that could be turned in for like an exclusive mount for Shadowlands or even exclusive Transmog gear.

I drive/deliver product for PepsiCo and know we have cans that would work.

Our Mt Dew Game Fuel Charged Cherry Burst (red can) could have Revendreth on it
Mt Dew Game Fuel Charged Original Dew (green can) could be Maldraxxus
Mt Dew Game Fuel Charged Berry Blast (blue can) could be Ardenweald
Mt Dew Game Fuel Charged Tropical Strike (yellow can) could be Bastion.

What do you guys think?

a small indie company cant afford this.

Call of Duty makes far more money and is far more lucrative than anything WoW related at this point.

I remember having a unopened bottle of the alliance one for years. Couldn’t find the horde one in stores.

I fail to understand how this adds to the conversation in any way shape or form

No for me because there’s no difference between this and paying to buy a mount directly from the in-game shop except for the extra calories that you incur, and honestly we could all do without forced soda calories.

Oh yeah, I remember that.

I still have a couple of the original database item number fuel canisters in my bank from that, not the ones they made available later on. Just for spits and giggles.

It’d be a neat throwback. I think it’d also be pretty decent advertising.

both are ways to advertise the game ; both aren’t happening anymore.

i wish to see it again, and get more eyes on the game, again.

isnt this about bringing back “again” old ways to advertise the game?

i fail to understand how you fail to understand /shrug

I think mt dew wouldn’t want anything to do with WoW these days, they’d much rather go to fortnite. WoW was cool back then, now it’s just meant for us who are too invested into the game to actually quit.

Whoa whoa. Blizzard is a multi-dollar company. Have some respect.

Remember when celebrities promoted the game? I miss the Night Elf Mohawk.

Mountain Dew will probably aim for fall guys, I believe that will become the next fortnite. It’s already taking the world by storm, the shop is already prepared to milk everyone’s wallets

Modern Game Fuel sucks from what I’ve heard, and so for that (and some other reasons) I can’t bring myself to care.

There would have to be lots of $$$ involved. After all, Bobby Kotick is a board member of Coca-Cola.

It is only a suggestion and not everybody who buys them drinks them. Some buy them as collectors items. More of a novelty

That’s why I said “no for me”.
