A good DKP system is the best loot system for guilds. Obviously not for PUGs though.

Definitely annoying the SR loot system. Great reserving Perds for months only to see the new green gear rogue come in first raid and reserve it and win.
Absolutely. This is probably the best thing about DKP which does two things. It incentivizes attendance which can be important on progression - and it incentivizes making good choices on what to spend it on. As you said, someone isn’t going to blow DKP on an item that isn’t a true upgrade often if at all.
I like the in-game dice, just like you would use in a dungeon. The only problem with that is you have to have grownups in the raid who aren’t going to become lunatics if a roll doesn’t go their way. Used it to great success in 10 mans in WotLK, but maybe that’s different because of how iLevel trumps all.
It happens just as often as the other guy winning instead…

Heck, even if they don’t get rid of RMT completely, GDKP is still the better system.
gdkp is the only viable pug system. We will see this when the forums get flooded with no mc pugs threads when aq drops

I have a theory which is they spam the threads they don’t like with nonsense, and then report them as off-topic etc to try and get them taken down. I’ve stopped engaging as much with the hidden repliers for this reason.

I lost all 3 of my SR’s to a Mage that did nothing but spam Arcane Missiles the entirety of BWL.
When confronted he didn’t respond to anyone, and for some odd reason our GM just let it fly.
Hard carrying 19 people and losing rolls is pretty frustrating.

I did a gdkp once and lost all my bids to a guy afk at the entrance.
Hard carried him and he bought every single item, even the stuff he didn’t need!
