MS/OS +1 why it is a bad idea

I main a prot warrior and this is my alt. There are two. We ran In pugs for 2 weeks until our guild had enough to run. I went 0 for 13 on loot, losing every roll, in each raid one guy beat me on rolls for at least 4 items each raid.

There are a couple things that ms/os+1 address. First and foremost, it stops someone from being incredibly lucky with rolls to take all the loot because of inherent limitations.

On tanks rolling on dps loot,. This would logically mean horde warriors (most popular class) and alliance warriors(most played class) and paladins should be able to roll on tank loot. I play two tank classes and piss on that.

Both my toons are tank spec and I think this entitlement us garbage.

Forcing personal loot on guild raids is just sad.

Brutality Blade should go to DPS. Tanks should use Eskhandar’s Claw/Quel’Serrar.

It was guild raids that benefitted the most. Clear times dramatically improved. As did guild morale and cohesion.

personal loot is terrible and has its own issues, like not being able to trade an item just because its an item level upgrade.

Thats the +1 part of it. And that is a great feature. I’m a strong believer in spreading out loot among your raid.

The MS/OS part, not so much. It’s a system designed by dps to screw over warriors, paladins, shamans, priests, and druids.

you got a source to back up those claims? because all i have seen is guilds railing against the forced personal loot.

How could you possibly know this?

Why would any warrior want to tank knowing they can roll on tank gear as well ( rogues can’t roll on plate ) .

Or you could tank , gear up fast then watch as dps warriors get gear you already have plus dps gears you can’t roll on till they all get.

That’s an unfortunate requirement for personal loot to work. Otherwise guilds would still try to micromanage who got loot by telling people to trade it to others. Or by gaming the system and having people set their loot specialization to x so they could fish for certain gear to feed someone etc.

Ideally, that restriction wouldn’t be needed, but we live in a reality where it is.

thats not a big deal, ilevel is king in bfa anyway

they made it so ilevel upgrades are usually better expect for some trinkets

Only personal experience. You’re only seeing sweaty, micromanaging tryhards rail against it. For your average heroic guilds, its a huge qol improvement.

they could at least fix the restriction that treats every weapon as a different type of item. that way if i have a XXX ilvl sword, and a same level dagger drops, and someone else can use, i can give them that dagger, without requiring having a same ilvl dagger to begin with.

weapons.
if you have a item level 200 sword.
and you win a 200 item level dagger.
you can’t trade teh dagger away without also having a 200 ilvl dagger.

personal experience is not a legitimate source. it legitimately changes the way the game is played, thats more then just a qol change.

sorry not sorry. your favorite system sucks

those guilds are the problem, not personal loot

you should not replace a bad system with another bad system. and that is what personal loot did.

oh well? i can live with that, personal loot is so much better overall

subjective opinion is subjective. you don’t replace one bad system with another bad system.

So you think you should be able to roll on your OS needs over peoples MS needs just because you don’t wanna wait?

Go to retail, the cancer that is PL is sitting there waiting to hand you your purples.

look, no loot system can ever be perfect. personal loot is working fine except for the try hards that dont want noobs to ever get anything

i dont love bfa or classic
