25% multiplicative flat nerf outweighs the buffs it got to start S2, they have been slapping +++ % pvp modifiers on MS since DF to outweigh the nerfs in the talent tree.
a 25% flat nerf is like reducing 75% of the extra damage they added to MS over the past year. 1 step forward 2 steps back. pretty much kills colossus tree too. Forced to play slayer with bladestorm and execute being the only pressure probably now.
I think it undeniably needed a nerf, but I agree that I would’ve liked to see what it looked like with gear.
They definitely look massive, but I wanna see how it plays out. It may be fine!
tbh nerfing the colossus Arms talent that increases MS damage by 30% down to 10% in pvp wouldve fixed it. slayer MS was not hitting anywhere near as hard. Bad changes all around. roughly 800k dmg difference in top end crits from colossus to slayer.
Also you have to factor armor scaling with the s2 conquest gear is going to be significantly higher… you know what that means for Arms…

No, because even slayer MS’s were critting like 2.5 mil. It was absolutely overtuned and needed a nerf to both hero talents.
However, I think it would’ve been better to target one of the dozen modifiers to MS than the base damage.
No, they adjust the K value every season so armor stays roughly the same.
Nah, I think they were great changes, they just may have been too much is all. I think they nerfed the right abilities that were undeniably overtuned.

Ms PvP mod is going from 1.55 to 1.30.
Base Ms damage went up 66% with the patch. Martial prowess was cut in half, but already had a negative PvP multiplier. I think it was .66 but I could be wrong. Feel free to check me.
Mortal strike will still be bigger than 11.0.7 by a pretty good margin.
And it still does after the nerf, but it isn’t meant to global people!

If people go back to slayer due to demolish nerf that’s -45% MS dmg tomorrow due to also losing the colossus MS modifier. OP will hit harder.

Warrior is still the only melee in the game that both has to use a GCD and resource to cast a bad slow.
