so wasted gold on the second hidden item. can’t buy one of the currency that hidden in a cave because the vendor is not spawning.

Try looking in LFG for groups that are at the vendor.

I went to the cave and he wasn’t up. Then I checked group finder and joined a group where he was up. Bought my taco and got my mount.

so far the times ive seen him in the cave have been pretty much after my server reset

They are all there. I just got that sweet Crimson Tidestallion mount. And I saw another one got it too after I got it.
For those, who hasnt done it yet. Murloco is being guarded by some Nagas… a wave of Nagas would come to you. At ilevel 415, I was able to solo it as a BM Hunter.

Murloco is a semi-rare spawn. Either just wait it out or try lfg.

use LFG. people will post groups when murloco is up on their realm/shard.
same for Mrrl. if he doesn’t have the seahorse when you check him, look in LFG.
(it is absolutely stupid that Mrrl has different loot in different shards/realms)

The taco doesn’t expire. So, you can look in the cave when you pass through until you get it. You’ll need the cloak for taco too. And you just need to wait for mrrl after that.

I had cloak. Got it done. Went to Mecha finish dailies there. got back was in a different shard got lucky. a mount instead of the box.
The taco is unique. And doesnt have a duration. Murloco was up days ago. I saved the taco for the mount.

I dunno how often Murloco comes up, like if its a daily duration thing–but for people perusing the forums right now who haven’t yet, the Crimson Tidestallion mount is up at the murloc trader in Nazjatar.
You can only see it on the vendor if you have an ‘Azshari Stormsurge cape’ equipped, and that can proc from benthic tokens.
Wowhead has a shopping list of all the lesser mats needed to trade around the vendors for each of the items the vendor can have, and also theres this handy little site that lets you select what you need and it breaks things down in a convenient way.
I legit didn’t know about that–I assumed it was the same for each realm. Sorry to people who log in and hes not selling it–unless maybe group finder can help.

All there on your realm, but on many realms Murloco was not there.
He was not up on any of the 3 realms I have 120s on.
A friend invited me to his realm, where Murloco was up, so I was able to buy the taco, then I ran around buying the murloc items at the base as fast as possible, scared the tidestallion would suddenly become unavailable before I bought it, as happened to many last time.
I now have a flying sea-horse.
Once you give it Nazjatar flying, btw, Crimson Tidestallion loses its fast swimming speed and swims as slowly as any regular mount.
There is a Mechagon Blue Punch Card that lets you swim fast. Blue Punchcards are almost useless to me… so I am putting the fast swim speed on it. Havent tested it yet though. Just got the Blue punchcard for swimming last night in Operation: Mechagon.

My only complaint is how ridiculous the mount’s animations are. It might just be the increased speed when using it to fly in Nazjatar, but as soon as I mounted up on it and went twenty feet I switched it off and never touched it again. It looks like it’s having a seizure any time it’s moving.
It got me my 350 achievement though, so worth it I suppose.
