The “What do you play?” campaign was some of the best advertising Blizzard had for World of Warcraft back in the day and really needs to come back with some more costumes for people to use in game.

Imagine some of the following celebrity commercials/character costumes

Known or returning WoW celebs

  • Mr. T - Night Elf Mohawk
  • Ozzy Osbourne - Undead Warlock
  • William Shatner - Tauren Shaman
  • Chuck Norris - Human Monk (I know previously they said he was a Hunter)
  • Henry Cavill - Mage (Dunno which race)
  • Mila Kunis - Paladin (Dunno which race)
  • Ronda Rousey - Blood Elf Rogue
  • Jamie Lee Curtis - Orc Warrior
  • Vin Diesel - Goblin Druid

Known gaming celebs

  • Samuel L. Jackson
  • Ice-T
  • Snoop Dogg - Race/Class unknown, but we all know he’d take herbalism as a profession
  • Jack Black - Pandarin Monk

There would be many more that would do really well to revive that marketing campaign and would be cool to see in-game as a costume, NPC or something.

Well, of course, I don’t know what servers that they are on as they haven’t made that knowledge known. They’ve only mentioned that they play in interviews in the past or some have run Twitch/Youtube/Facebook lives at some time.

This is why we are where we are with this game, people demanding sub par filler content it’s why Wow never advanced, they just threw mounts, pets and Mcguffins galore, the masses ate this up like bacon on slop.
