a) Maybe because he was a mortal human and would die in 60 yrs tops so it was basically a summer fling in elf years?
b) Perhaps Nathanos being Nathanos was still a snarky bastard even when alive and that impressed Sylv somehow?
c) Umm, how do i say this without getting muted… maybe Nathanos showed up to ranger training packing a composite longbow while the rest of her rangers were merely equiped with shortbows?
d) His ability to grow facial/chest hair? Yeah i got nothing

Her race was damn near wiped out, her soul was ripped out of her body while still alive and twisted into something magnificently evil, and she was forced to attack Silvermoon and the very people she was sword to defend at the behest of the person responsible.
Sylvanas: Ok, now I must find Nathanos

Look, i dont know what to tell you. She already has some of her dark rangers with her when she finds him, so its not like its the first thing she did after garithos- its not like she wasnt gonna get around finding him eventually

She had a pick appointment before Arthas attacked and she was not about to let something like death get in the way lol.
If we consider how Nathanos behaves with the player character, then he was probably the first person Sylvanas encountered in a really long time that wasn’t in complete awe of her. Obviously, that’s changed a bit over the years, but he still snarks even her from time to time.

It’s now my headcanon that young High Elves routinely went out to sow their wild oats among the Humans, before settling back down into Elven life. Kael’s thing for Jaina also comes to mind. Sylvanas and Alleria just had the misfortune (or fortune, I guess, depending on perspective) of their summer flings becoming biologically immortal.

The more I think about it, the more Kael really sells the idea. I mean, what did he think would happen if Jaina did take up with him? Everyone, including his father, was already getting their jimmies rustled over a Human ranger. Imagine if Kael tried to install a Human princess.
She would have basically been that friend you kept around in college to help with extracurricular activities.
