Mplus que being tested

I saw this on reddit yesterday and was wondering how the GD didn’t pickup on it sooner.
https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1n70xu6/we_are_so_getting_a_solo_queue_system_for_mythic/

But as I’m starting to work the courage to tank Mythic Plus pugs, I can’t say I’m not happy with the direction of Solo Queue.

The main benefit of Solo-Queue is respecting the time and schedule of the player. But also remove player-made requirements and gatekeeping. “No X spec allowed to play this season”

The title of this article is pure irony. :joy:

Man imagine how overloaded the tank bags will have to be for M+ ques

As long as there’s vote to kick and the ability to refill during a dungeon like you would in other LFD content. Neither of which fit well into M+, so without some good failsafes it’s a hard nope for me.

I think people are eager for it to fail, but there will be a subset of players that are happy it exists.

Yes, there will be fail groups, probably in a higher ratio than normal, but even manual groups crash and burn.

I’d probably become a solo queue tank/healer if there’s like a unique title or something for it.

And based off Shuffle and Blitz, I assume there’d be separate rewards for that.

Most likely one grouping system I’ll never use. If it keeps the more casual players in their own wonderland to mythic+ easier I’m all for it.

that’s not a thing now. which spec do you think isn’t allowed to play?

Aug is definitely banned at the moment lol

Even opt-in requires dev resources to create which isn’t an unlimited resource…and it fractures the existing player base and it’s not like there are a ton of tanks and healers in the current system.

It would also just be bad for the game to have this system that they took time to create that everyone knew wouldn’t work…and what about new players who don’t read the forums or consume wow content. They jump in the queue only to find that either 1) it never fills up or 2) it’s impossible to succeed.

Those players will unfortunately be sitting in queue for an hour and then complaining about that because tanks will not be signing up for this

That was just one example of gatekeeping.

But if I humor you and go by the wowhead dps list

  • Windwalker Monk (B Tier)

  • Arms Warrior (C Tier)

  • Augmentation Evoker (C Tier)

It’s an article about a survey.

i dont really see an issue with it as long as you can still form your own groups if you want. it might actually get more people into lower keys that eventually move higher up into premade grouping.

If they really implement this, there will be numerous complaints about how the match making system didn’t make good groups so they couldn’t finish the key. Then, Blizzard will have to nerf M+ to the ground to appease the masses.

And this is forum post about the article about the survey.

Doesn’t happen nearly as much as people imagine.

I’ll sign up to heal a +10 that’s brewmaster/rogue/feral/aug if they’re 705+ and have solidly timed 10s or higher.

What does happen all the time is dps crying that they aren’t invited because meta. When the reality is that they’re undergeared, under-scored, the group needs a lust and they don’t have it, and there’s 8 pages of dps signing up for that spot.

mythic plus getting a group finder is only happening because of the toxicity of things like Raider IO and such. also that is more than likely why the deserter debuff was really added.

Seems to me that it could work, but only if they remove the leaver penalty and also remove key depletion for not timing.

i’ve run into every one of those in keys this season. i don’t think the wowhead dps list is an authoritative “banned spec” list.

Gonna be a disaster.

A firestorm of complaints about difficulty to the point both difficulty and rewards get nerfed into being yet another queued option with no fail condition.

Then we’re back to where we were in the first place, with queued content having no option to fail, granting nothing better than vet track at best, and people complaining that they can’t get into real keys.
