Moving the Kaldorei off Kalimdor completes the Horde's attempt at genocide instead of safeguarding against it

That reminds me of Blizzard dev interview with Bellular I saw but I can’t find it now. When Bellular pointed out parallels between Light worship and the Catholic Church when talking about Yrel’s holy war on AU Draenor. The devs squrimed there (though Belluar seemed to get a bit fedora-tipper about that as social commentary).

It’s funny how enthusiastic people were about that story when it could be social commentary about the Crusades, but if that can be connected to other religious wars, especially ones that don’t involve Christianity, watch the enthusiasm dry up.

There are parallels in the conflicts between Yrel’s army and the Mag’har to the Israel vs Palestine situation. The Draenei came to AU Draenor as refugees fleeing genocidal persecution (especially since Velen is a Moses and Noah reference)…

So I’m going to use your quote;

“If you guys stand by the beliefs presented in your story, what is your opinion on these wars”

If Blizzard goes ahead with that “Lightbound” arc.

Yes, the forest roads were “once highly patrolled” but they are no longer. It also mentioned there are no birds even because of how ruined the area is.

Yikes because the Jewish people have had a consistent presence in the land (not a sole claim) since ancient times but OK.

No, it’s mentioned that the birdsong is gone, chased off by the wails of spirits unwilling to pass on. Which doesn’t mean that there are no birds at all. It just means that where once you would have heard the birds while moving through the forests of Darkshore, now you instead hear the wails of the fallen.

The book also mentions that it was mostly because Tyrande and the Army of the New Moon were focusing their wrath elsewhere, which is why it was mostly left abandoned

Like all other modern lore’s results, people forget that Darkshore was written more or less as the backwater land of the NEs. Maybe a little better than Azshara lmao.

I know they have. I mean the modern nation of Israel. Jews have had a presence in the land since ancient times, but the modern nation was formed by Jews fleeing persecution in the 20th century.

OK we’ll leave it at that, despite the analogy being flawed.

I could’ve worded that part better (though the Draenei history does have parallels to Jewish history, especially the “Velen is Draenei Moses and Draenei Noah” part).

You seem to keep ignoring this part.

We have lore on what Darkshore was before Darnassus. It was unlivable. It is not habitable. It can not sustain a settlement. It has been tried multiple times. It is not possible.

Even if, in the rosiest version, the place is chalk full of Night Elf sentinels even after they learned of a new home, Darkshore cannot be lived in.

It was ONLY possible because of Darnassus, and the resources only went into it because there needed to be a line between Darnassus and the mainland.

The warfront shows that Malfurion can make wildlife grow on plague stuff. It might be just a matter of time for Darkshore to be clean of blight.

Ashenvale in lore is quite big isn’t it? And they have retaken that place, no plague, no blight.

I honestly understand the hate some players have of night elf mains, because even a positive patch where the Night Elves get major wins across the board, get a new zone for them in game, no named character deaths, Ysera returning to ardenweald therefore Malfy will be back, Jarod on the frontlines, everything I asked, is seen as a negative development for some people.

It really isn’t zionist leaders in the 40s were calling it colonialism.
The jewish presence already there doesn’t extent to the european jews that decide to settle the place.

Because they’re diaspora Jews who lived in Europe, they don’t have a connection to the land and are, therefore colonists?

I’m really not arguing this any further.

IMO, I’m starting to rank Night Elf Mains on the same level as Male Human Paladin.

Both are seemingly obnoxious, both refuse to accept facts. Both throw tantrums when they don’t precisely get everything they want.

Then leave this thread alone.

Because the minority that are ALWAYS UNHAPPY ruin it for the sensible NE fans who are actually enjoying the patch. Which from what I heard from others, is a well liked patch for the most part.

Amidrissal and the Emerald Dream are absolutely beautiful in this patch and we got to interact with a lot of famous characters and even some well know Wild Gods showed up to help

History and facts disagree with your imagination and colonialist justifications.

Nobody likes to be the bad guy. But eventually when the damage is done. The Whiteman can feel sorry about it, maybe make a monument and proudly say with a tear in their eye… “never again”

It’s literally part of the religion and culture but OK

… you’ve literally refused to read the story in the current launch of the game. What are you on.

Its cute how you think this is relevant.

I am sure the slave owners of the south had their own justifications and scripture to refer to.
