Moving Forward

Not that I’m thinking just of WoW Classic, but the entire Franchise here; Legacy Servers for Classic seem to have drawn a large number of return players who refuse to play Retail. TBC is likely to draw back a large number who found that to be the ultimate expression of their beloved RPG. And yet… For many of us Wrath of the Lich King was and will always be the perfect form achieved. So now that we know TBC will be given back to the masses is it possible then that so too will WotLK make its presence known? Asking for a friend…

How could anyone possibly know the answer to this?

It’s a good question. Wrath is when I left, Wrath was the peak but also heralded the decline.

I would seriously hope that Blizzards senior management is paying attention to all of this and all of the communities demands. I think at this point they need a sequel to recapture their past glories. I can’t see a handful of different iterations of WoW all being presented simultaneous because it would end up in the changes/nochanges argument for each one and then the calls for Classic +, TBC +, Wrath +, ect

None of these possible product fill the most important need, bringing in NEW players, those who have never played WoW ever, those who have never played MMORPGS ever, just like WoW did back then.

Sure, it’s content already made. Game companies do this all the time. Normally though, they sell it with graphical updates

Has Blizzard announced this? Have I missed something?

Or does “we know” mean “we believe player rumors”?

The demand is there, so I suspect we will get WOTLK eventually, but don’t hold your breath, we have a lot of legacy content to get through before we get there.

bfa classic hype.

cough shoulda just kept that to yourself…now that it’s been announced so you can hug the “official statement” perhaps you might just want to accept that some members of the gaming community also have ties to particular information networks and get over yourself

When did they officially announce this?

They didn’t
