I’m all for classes having their niches. I’m full against class homogenization, but Movement speed shouldn’t be something tied to classes.
I know DK’s feel this much worse than Hunters. And I know I have passives that increase my movement speed. But when I have to commit disengage to a mechanic just to turn around and run halfway across the field to avoid another mechanic… 2.5 minute CD on Cheetah is ridiculous.
Let’s take KUJO as an example because this is one of the more egregious offenses in M+ this season to low movement classes.
As a hunter I try to make sure I negate the leap mechanic every time I get targeted. It’s easy, I see big circle I disengage away from everyone and Feign Death on the jump. EZ-PZ, but when the Vent mechanic follows that and my disengage didn’t land me vaguely in the area of the box then I’m screwed. One shot through Survival of the Fittest.
I can avoid the first Vent, disengage/feign/cheetah but the next round is up before 2.5 minutes have passed so if I get targeted for leap the second time I have to hope RNG puts my disengage close to the box (there’s not an excessive amount of time to line up disengage before the first leap.)
Idk what I’m asking for specifically, maybe just remove the CD from Disengage and add an internal CD to Posthaste. Maybe reduce the CD of Cheetah? I can only imagine the min maxing DK’s have to do with there even worse movement toolkit than Hunters so I know it’s bigger than Hunters.
I suppose while Cheetah is on CD for now my Workshop groups will just have to do the leap mechanic.
i think dhs should get another flip that immunes not just cc but everything and hey can still jump slide during it plus brez instant no cast.

Aspect of the cheetah feels like it’s on a 3 to 5 business day cooldown.

When I saw the new DF talent trees for vengeance.
I saw hunt and vengeful retreat - my first thoughts were “yup that’s exactly what VDH needed: MORE mobility!”

Dude this is facts
made me literally burst out laughing.
It just feels like we only ever have it available once per pull and when we do get it up again things have been sideways for a minute already
I think if you need a movement CD to get out of leap and then into hiding from kujo’s venting, you’re probably not positioning yourself very well, or are trying to move way more than you need.

Hey, maybe I do move too far away. But I’d rather ensure I’m the farthest away so I’m the first leap
This is some more min maxing I can do tho so thank you

A DH that can use retreat, use it again mid-air, then turn around and leap twice; while a hunter can disengage once, is bad enough. A DK is pitiful in comparison to the hunter’s movement, to the point where Gally pugs I was in were turning down DK tanks because they just knew there was no way this guy was running out with his turn as the bomb.
All classes should have their strengths and weaknesses, but movement should not have such a disparity that one class can run from one end of a dungeon or BG to the other 5-10x faster than the slowest.
The fix, at least for hunters, is to give them the same ability to double up on disengaging the same way a DH can, if used within a few seconds. Maybe a DK could use one CD for the speed increase and if they use it again with the second charge, it stacks the increased speed the way a Monk can?

Tbh kujo is all about positioning. If you are having issues making it in or out, I’d look at where you are standing.
I can do it pretty easy as melee survival. Bm is super easy since you can move and dps. You can pre position super easy. Mm is where you’ll have to stop dps a bit and move.
But you shouldn’t need movement abilities at all with proper positioning.
Also did this on my dk during bfa without issues. Worst case, you can ams and soak the burn or turtle.

Venting Flames ignores immunities now tho
I agree that the disparity in movement abilities is completely ridiculous and has been for a really long time. There is no reason for some classes to be so slow.

Mmmm you can immune it as far as I am aware. I also don’t see that under the tooltip or anything either.
I’d have to test it.

I’ll do a 0 later and test it again but I’ve died to it through turtle this season. Back when I was running survival instead of Marks

Tbh survival is super easy imo for this fight.
Worst case you disengage and harpoon back in.
Idk I avoid the fire so I haven’t tried it haha.

Yesterday was the first time I’ve gotten caught by it since week 1
But I just swapped to Marks last week because I got a Tiny Pal and have been trying to do marks things. And I noticed I’m capable of negating a mechanic so I’ve been trying to do that and found myself out of place more than a few times
this was just the first time it was bad enough to punish me

Funny enough, me too lol.
But I was trying to safe spot the corner to keep dpsing.
Yea, they hotfixed that and I didn’t realize.
Tell when do you feign death on kujo, as the farthest away so you are first target, and does it cancel the whole mech
such a garbage cd is like playing classic having sprint on 5 min cd

If you are gonna try for gimmick strats like this, it’s probably just easier/safer to tell the group to run in but stay at sides relative to the box for safety in case you mess up and you take the few steps out to be the farthest and do your gimmick than it is to disengage to narnia and then try and make it back to the box.

if i was a DK id try to farm the loot until i got speed proc on all slots
that would take a long time but it would probably be nice.
