How can I move WoW to my D drive. Is this possible?
Yes and no. You cannot “move it” easily. However if you uninstall the game, then re-install you will be prompted for the “install location”, click change then target D:\
This will install the game and setup the needed pointers and registry items. You can then “move” (copy/cut & paste) your addons and screenshot folders if you wish.
I don’t know if anything’s changed since then but before BFA I moved my entire WoW folder from my C drive to a new SSD I added. I then opened the launcher and pointed it to the new folder. The launcher settings have a button for using a different folder under game install/update.
I also did this with my Steam folder in a similar fashion.
i copied wow of my main computer to a SATA drive in a USB3 case so I can play wow on a very cheep laptop with only 32gb eMMC flash storage/drive . used the Battle net Launcher on the usb drive and pointed it at the game folder (in my case it’s G - Games - World of Warcraft) then use the repair button to check that the files have copied properly.
Thanks for the replys.
