Do they work in Classic? And do click casts work at all? I usually use Clique for dispels, but I can work around that.
If not, I’ll adapt. I won’t like it, but I’ll adapt.

Yea mouseover macros work. One of the first things I set up when I started playing classic. Not sure about clique for dispels. I just have them set as mouseover as well.
Confirm works. It did kind of not work in the beginning though. Manually typing out every macro made them work for me.
Excellent. I assume the retail syntax?
The syntax had never changed for mouse over I believe.
I will have to give this a try, mine work sporadically.
iirc it has.
used to be target=mouseover, now it’s @mouseover.
#showtooltip shadow mend
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] shadow mend
I took this from my own macros. It is how I wrote and still works fine. So It might have changed, but the old ones still works fine.
they both work.
all my mouseover macros are in this form:
#showtooltip
/cast [target=mouseover, exists] hamstring; hamstring
Couldn’t you use the [target=mouse over, harm] to only use it on enemies you can attack?
Yeah, if you want. If im trying to mouseover i would personally rather attempt and fizzle when its the wrong kind of target than waste resources using the spell on my actual target because thats not what I intended to do (especially when its classic and that resource is rage). This format can also be used for mouseover otherwise current target/self cast for every spell in the game and a consistent syntax across all spells and roles is pretty great
