With many addons going away, I have been trying to get used to using no UI addons to help determine where the default UI is lacking.

A major feature that action bar and other UI addons offer is hiding an action bar until moused over, also called mouseover action bars. This is a great way to bind abilities that you might want to sometimes see but most of the time don’t want to see. Currently the default UI only lets you hide always or hide/unhide based on combat, which is not the same functionality.

Does anyone know if the beta has mouseover action bar functionality?

I believe that should still be available to action bar addons at this stage. There are areas that haven’t been finalised or the code available for testing yet.

Does this mean it might be possible for an addon to cover this functionality in Midnight? I’m mainly trying to plan for the expansion and want to make sure this functionality isn’t impossible to have. Whether Blizzard does it or lets addons do it.
