Since 8.2, i have this strange issue where i use the right mouse button to turn during intense combat (Arena), and it doesnt turn. Almost as if the right click button isnt responding. I tried two separate mice and both have the issue.
Does anyone else experience this issue? Im using a Razer naga trinity, win7, i disable all addons and nothing has helped.
OMG Thank god I’m not the only one. It’s driving me nuts and it started randomly. When using double mouse hold to walk, I begin to stutter step and stop moving when in a couple of second. When using a foward keybind and right click to hold to turn, it will work for a couple of seconds but then the game stops recognizing the right click pretty quickly. I’m not sure what to do and I’ve tried disabling addons aswell.
You folk might test some of these common solutions for mouse/camera problems.
Lower the “Polling Rate” to 100 - 125 Hz. (depending on software).
If it isn’t an issue try disabling the Foreground FPS limiter. Ingame on the Menu > System > Advanced. (Remember to hit the Apply button)
Enable the rawMouse CVar. Open a chat box then copy/paste this line. (Ctrl + V will paste it)
/script SetCVar(“rawMouseEnable”, 1);
To check that the script worked go to the Wow folder > retail > WTF - look for the Config file. Open with notepad. This should be at the bottom of CVar list:
SET rawMouseEnable “1”
(0 - zero is off)
Test them one at a time.
Thanks Tratt. I’ll gibe those a try tomorrow after work and report back. I did reduce my polling rate to 500 from 1500. I’ll try lowering it more and also the others (if lowering it doesn’t work). The FPS part sounds plausible to me.
I tried the suggestions and none of them work. I was unable to get the /script SetCVar(“rawMouseEnable”, 1); to do anything. I consider myself technically literate and couldnt get this to actually effect the config file.
I would like to add details to the issue as well.
It appears that the right mouse button is just not responding at some times. However, its not a mouse issue. I will hold right click down while strafing or moving forward to move my character in combat and the mouse STAYS in position (as it is being held down), but when i move the mouse, the character does not turn.
I think i found a solution. it was either disabling Nvidia overlay or deleting my mouse drivers manually through device manager. Either way, the issue appears to be gone. It was 100% in an arena skirmish. I havent had it happen in 4 games.
