Hi!
Having an issue while in fullscreen where when I move my character around while clicking right mouse button, the game stutters. This does not occur in windowed mode at all. I have a maxxed out M2 Mac Mini Pro and it handles this game insanely well. I can basically max settings out and get insane fps, so framerate is not the issue. This will happen on lowest and max settings. Any help here would be appreciated thanks!
My specs:
M2 Mac Mini Pro
12 core CPU
19 core GPU
32gb ram
1TB Main HD SSD
OS - 13.2.1 Ventura

Other additions:
Main monitor I play on is 2560x1440 144hz and cap fps to refresh.
I monitor temps and system runs around 40-50c while playing. I manually set the fan speed to 75% to keep temps low.
Razer Naga Hyperspeed set top 500hz polling rate. (I’ve tried all of the polling rates) 125-1000. Issue occurs still.
Happens with or without addons on fresh install etc.
Interesting temporary fix.
Having OBS running in the background (even when not streaming or recording completely fixes this issue) I can’t explain it. It’s butter smooth now.
As soon as you turn OBS off, the stuttering starts to occur immediately. I tested this 20x and can confirm this is a temp fix.
I don’t expect Blizzard to even read this so if anyone else is having a similar issue, give this a try!
OBS force disables macOS vsync. maybe turn off vsync in wow and see if it has same effect?
Thanks for the response but this issues still occurs regardless of Vertical Sync being turned off or on in game.
OBS running in the background is the only thing that has solved this issue for me.
I ironcally, OBS open with wow for me causes corrupt graphics and distortion, which is why I can’t stream wow
It’s Apple. I blame SCSI Voodoo™.
Hey, just wanted to follow up on this issue. I just downloaded the new Ventura 13.3 update and the issue is gone. So it must have been a MacOS issue. I no longer need OBS open, game running smooth on its own. yay
EDIT: THIS IS NOT FIXED YET ON 13.3.
I thought 13.3 fixed this, it did not
I’m also Nove and Skyharp in these posts. Not sure why my forum character keeps changing lol
I have these exact same specs on my new machine too. Having identical issues with the freezing, I thought it was related to the memory issue that Omegal was talking about in the other thread, but then I see this post. Only difference is that I am running 13.3 that just came out.
I have this issue on both my machines. M1 Macbook Air 8gb and M2 Mac Mini Pro 12c Cpu 19c gpu 32gb.
I thought I had fixed this with Ventura 13.3 but it turns out it still happens. The only thing that fixes it is having OBS running in the background on both machines. Strangest sh*t i’ve ever experienced with this game.
I can confirm that there is a solution how to fix this bug - just download and run OBS studio while playing WOW. Flickering disappears. Or play in windowed mode, it also fixes it.
I can add that the reason why flickering and fps drop disappears while using obs is that obs activates small orange dot (microphone using indicator) in wow UI. That indicator fixes this bug. So basically you can join any discord voice chat or use any application that uses microphone and flickering is gone. Maybe that will help developers to find this UI error that causes it.

Doubt we will see a fix for this. Blizzard doesn’t read these Mac forums often
