Mouse Sensitivity on new patch

When loading the new client and waiting for the servers to come up, my mouse sensitivity is much higher than what it was last night on the DF client. Checked my Cata Classic Client to make sure it wasn’t just me or some weird setting… and it just seems to be something going on with the new version. I didn’t have this issue in TWW Beta.

Any ideas? I don’t see any configuration option in the menu’s at all.

just loaded up the game as well and noticed the UI scale changed to way smaller than before

Scale doesn’t seem to change mouse sensitivity at all, i tried changing all of the settings in graphics and none of them affect this.

I’m having the exact same problem. I play in windowed mode and the mouse sensitvity only goes crazy when I’m tabbed into the game, not tabbed out.

Having the same issue, multiple monitors, mouse speed is extremely fast when tabbed into wow, normal otherwise.

Same issue here too, I have ICUE (corsair software) which forces the DPI but for some reason the wow opening screen is overriding that. Some hidden mouse setting I think which is by far ANNOYING. I hope it’s not like this once the game launches or I’m going to have words to say.

Edit I think I fixed it.

In config.wtf there are a couple of settings. Set them to 0 should put your mouse dpi back to normal. Worked for me

SET mouseSpeed "0"

SET enableMouseSpeed "0"

Not sure if it’s really hidden, but having to hunt around for it would be annoying.

This came up in the Mac Tech Support forum:

Maybe it’ll help Windows users too?

So my post above, found a couple settings in config.wtf to fix.

Uh, dumb question.

If we tweak these cvars in the console, will they save? Or is this something we’ll have to fix every time we start the game?

I guess if they’re in config.wtf, they at least have someplace to be saved.

That is a good question, are you able to get to the console if the game servers are offline? on PC I can’t. Not sure about Mac.

config.wtf is the file your client reads at load. If you save them there, you’re done.

Yep, for those not sure where to find it, it’s in the directory where you installed wow.

Specifically Here.

wowdir\_retail_\wtf

Same here. Mouse was all over the place.

I’ve launched and closed the game a few times after changing the config. The fix still works.
