The right mouse button is losing control of the camera angle when held down, particularly during combat, but also during regular movement in game.
With RMB held down, the expected functionality is that the cursor disappears and the camera angle is controlled by the mouse.
What is actually happening: The mouse cursor will reappear as if RMB was released and move freely. This is particularly noticeable in combat when the A and D buttons are currently functioning as strafe (because RMB is pressed) and the camera immediately begins to rotate when the game believes RMB has been released.
I have exhausted all known troubleshooting steps posted on community forums as well as those instructed by several members of Tech Support.
These steps include:
- Changed poll rate 125/ Lower DPI settings
- Uninstalled Razer
- Uninstall Corsair
- Disabled Geforce Overlay
- Disabled Windows Game bar
- DDU Reinstall Drivers (Latest driver and older drivers from Jan 2020)
- Reset UI • Reset In-Game Options • Repair Client
- Directx11 and DirectX12
- Tested on New Administrator Account
- CVAR reset
- Toggled /console rawMouseEnable 1 and 0 (On and off)
- Windowed mode and fullscreen windowed mode
- Changed hardware between Razer mouse and Corsair mouse no change.
- Enabled Vsync
After the steps above this issue still occurs off and on, at the same rate it was before with no major change. Other than using the older Nvidia driver appeared to have made it worse.
After concluding with Blizzard Tech Support, I completely reinstalled Windows 10 and am experiencing the same symptoms previously outlined. Fresh installation of Windows 10, Fresh installation of World of Warcraft, with no third party software present.
The problem persists on the PTR as well.
