Mouse Clicks Don't Work In-Game

Since today’s patch, right- and left-clicking have been in vain. I usually get one mouse click that works, but the rest don’t interact with the interface / game. Clicking on action bar items, bag items, and yes, even submitting a ticket, get no results. The mouse works perfectly otherwise – this is an in-game only issue. Exiting the game and restarting usually will get me 1-2 mouse clicks that work with the game. But after that, the functionality is gone. Sometimes the clicking ability comes back, but not without a /reload or /reload ui; or exiting the game completely.

I have noticed the mouse clicks stopped working each time I completed a World Quest. But they also stopped while flying around or walking.

Add-ons are updated.

Start with resetting your game to default. Rename the following folders interface. Wtf. Cache by adding .old. Then test to see if the issue is resolved

Hi, I am having the same issue, however, neither of those steps worked for me. Using /console cvar_default only worked for a few minutes, and I don’t have anything “enabled” on the Startup tab.

Hey Dlorian! If the /console cvar_default command solves the issue temporarily, this indicates that one of the addons you’re running is changing a console variable and causing the click problems. I recommend moving the World of Warcraft ‘Interface’ folder to your desktop temporarily, and then complete a User Interface Reset. Once you have completed the UI reset, you can then go in and move your addons over to the new ‘Interface’ folder one at a time to see if it was causing the issue.

i just got a upgrade and i have this problem if your gonna force stuff on our computer and stuff dont work you should be fired why puting stuff on people computers to make it not work is plain wronge

This was a problem 4 years ago and it looked like it was an addon causing the issue which has nothing to do with an update. If you are having an issue it’s best to make your own thread so you can get the help you need.
