I took a break around the launch of 8.3 and have recently come back due to extra free time on my hands. I have 2 mmo mice that cause the game to freeze if I move the them and return to normal once I stop. I have a $12 logictech mouse that Is as basic as basic gets, and when I use that one there are no problems with stuttering or freezing. I tried lowering my graphics to minimum and adjusting my resolution until I narrowed it down to the mouse. I’ve disabled the dpi on the mouse thinking that it was too high and the problem persists. If there are any suggestions on how to fix this please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Most of the Gaming Mice have their own drivers. Have you tried updating those?
I was using a Logitech m570 wireless usb trackball mouse. Was causing lag/stuttering. most noticeable when trying to start off on a land or flying mount. I tried updating the driver on the logitech website. There was no change to performance. I did try disabing all addons and running a vanilla package and also tried running the wow troubleshooter to check for corrupted files. Trackball works as expected on win10 64 bit os. no issues with the OS or surfing websites. Replaced the trackball mouse with a generic corded microsoft mouse and WOW runs as expected. Appears something is going on with the USB trackball mouse and WOW to cause the stuttering.
I am noticing the same problem with my mouse. I had a Logitech gaming mouse that I replaced because of this stuttering problem. It only seemed to happen when I was moving while holding down both mouse buttons. I replaced it with a Corsair gaming mouse and everything seemed okay, but lately the right mouse button stuttering has returned.
I only notice this happening while holding down both mouse buttons and moving.
I am not sure why, but running the game as administrator fixed the problem for me. Thank you all for the suggestions.
Means windows was not allowing the drivers/game to fully load!
