Mouse button 2 not turning character or acting as primary button on 2 different computers and 2 different accounts

I just came back from a year+ break from Classic wow, and before that I’ve played off and on since Burning Crusade. The right mouse button has always turned my character and been the primary button to accept or complete quests or drag items from bags etc… but since re-installing the game on both my computers, the game acts as if the primary button is the left mouse button. This is happening only inside World of Warcraft. When I tab out of the game on either computer, the mouse behaves properly and the right mouse button is the primary one.

I have tried entering a new binding line in the WTF binding folder and set mouse button 2 to be move and steer, but when I log into a character, even though the keybinding sais mouse button 2, its still only the left mouse button 1 that turns my character. I’m starting to generate dislexia or something and I cant even remember what buttons to click when i need them since some things the primary button is the left one, and other things the primary button is the right button… This is the worst thing ive experience in wow. Even worse than the 3 day straight world pvp grinding I experienced during Classic honor release… Ugh, this makes me want to scream.

My computer i use a Razer Naga with razer synapses and everything works as intended on all other apps and games, but in world of warcraft this is happening.

My girlfriends computer uses a logitec G502 HERO mouse and its brand spanking new out of the box yesterday… her wow has the same exact problem as mine. Both are bugging out which mouse button is primary one…

Any help is appreciated and ive tried sending technical issue tickets and uploaded the two MSinfo and the Dsomething or other .txt files but when i click submit, the page seems to reset and theres no notification that my ticket was sent. I did it twice and Im still not sure if they were sent. They dont show the tickets in My Tickets page either. So I’m posting here to see if I can get a pro’s advice or a GM.

did you reset your controls to default settings in the game?

did you change your mouse orientation in windows somehow?

Did you try disabling all your addons?

i would delete you wtf folders and try again if it keeps doing it

Yes I’ve reset the controls in the game to default many times and only the left button turns my character still. When i go into windows settings and change the primary button to the left one, only then is the right button turning my character, but then all the other things switch to the left button. So there is a setting in the game code that is swapping the primary button for these specific things i mentioned.

yeah this is strange. don’t know what else to consider. if its just the game, then i’d recommend resetting everything (not just controls) to default on the main screen, deleting your wtf folder, and seeing if that helps?

I’ve been using my Razer Naga for 3.5 months and it’s already causing me issues with my right button. Seems like the mouse is failing because the camera doesn’t always turn properly. It’s inconsistent. Sometimes it can work perfectly and then randomly I get issues holding it down and panning my camera.

And I’m pretty sure it’s the mouse failing because when I switch my right and left mouse button in the Razer settings, the camera pans perfectly fine.

I’ll never buy another Razer product again. The sad thing is I also use a secondary generic two button mouse when not gaming because I wanted to preserve the longevity of my Razer Naga. So it’s not like I was abusing the thing non stop. I literally tried babying it and the damn thing is already failing me 3.5 months into use.

I just bought a Red Dragon mouse for half the price on Amazon. I figure even if I get 3 months out of the Red Dragon, it’s still cheaper than the Razer I bought for $74.99
