Mouse Acceleration Issue

A friend of mine and I have been having an issue where when moving the camera, the game will randomly drastically over accelerate the sensitivity. It will stay like that for about 10 seconds or so. I like my sensitivity way down low so this throws me off.

Is anybody else having the issue? I’ve never had this issue before in retail and I’m using the same mouse. Mine is Logitech G500, his is G502.

put this command into your chat:

/script SetCVar(“rawMouseEnable”, 1);

That’s what solved it for me.

No joy, still happening.

After testing, Raw Mouse command is bugged (cursor sliding, camera turning bug is not resolved along with it either). It only causes more issues.

I’ll mention again for this thread, since these forums block doubleposting now, that troubleshooting suggestions are one of the main reasons this issue ends up getting written off and festers in the game until players just outright unsubscribe based on other community forums. The camera turning aggressively can cause mistakes, especially with reticule targeting effects, that make gameplay extremely frustrating. Do not suggest troubleshooting, it is not something we are going to fix on our end, and it has already been tried in the past. This is a very old issue.

The best thing to do is simply post that you are experiencing the bug, or move on if you aren’t.

What’s odd is I don’t have this issue on Retail. Only on Classic. This issue is insane as well. Sometimes, a simple move result in me doing a complete 360 and walking away from the game.

(Okay, jokes aside, this issue is very annoying).

Bummer. I also turned down my polling speed on my mouse, maybe this helps too. I’m using 125 polling speed (Logitech G502 mouse)

So, there may be a second command. I have Advanced Interface Options which contains a CVar Browser. Right above rawMouseEnable, I noticed rawMouseAccelerationEnable which is set to a default of 1. I’m enabling rawMouseEnable (1) and disabling rawMouseAccelerationEnable (0) and it seems to have stopped the problem for now. I will report back if it returns or in about an hour if it doesn’t.

Reporting back here. Normally it would return in 3-5 minutes, but it appears that turning on raw input and disabling mouse accel while raw input is on did the trick. It hasn’t returned.

Just logged in today and ran into this issue, its so annoying. I cant move the screen without my mouse going crazy. Almost unplayable. PLZ HELP

It’s not just classic it’s also retail something with high DPI idk pretty much not happy.

Holy crap thank you! I’ve been struggling with this thing for a while now, I never would have thought about these custom scripts (I also would never have thought about them having mouse accell on by default lol).

I fixed my mouse issue myself.
there are 2 places in windows if you do not use extra software to control your mouse.
the mouse settings icon in control panel is worthless
in windows 10 you have to go to devices and printers and right click your mouse settings there. defaulting your mouse hardware buttont o factory default can help.
