I know a few existed before but does anyone else feel like there are a lot more?
And that it totally ruins the mount for you?
I was super pumped for my Colossal Slaughterclaw and love(d) him but… he shrinks me down a crazy amount and I can’t unsee it now.
Almost all of the new ones do. I hate it.
Yeah, it’s the worst. I refuse to use any mount that does that. Completely unacceptable. I dislike overly large mounts in general, but there’s some of the larger ones that could have been really cool, except for this ‘feature’.
It’s odd because instead of auto-zooming a bit, the mount actually shrinks you. The shaman class mount does it.
I’m probably the odd duck who’d enjoy that. I don’t want to be huge riding on a huge mount—it’s obnoxious
It’s probably more convenient that the large mounts shrink you but I’ve never minded slamming my head into a doorframe because I decided to ride my big chonkster mount.
I do have more sleek, compact options too so it’s always just been whatever my mood was.
I know big huge mounts can also bother other players but they already have the dismount tech they can make use of more around key NPCs or ports.
I dunno, it just seems like a cheap shortcut to me, but to be fair I don’t design or code anything at all. I don’t have an issue with anyone who does like it as a QoL feature, just wish it was a toggle.
