Mounts inside Raids

Can we allow mounting inside Raids once Legacy loot kicks in?

I mean… Seriously… the real boss is the walk. Why places like Blackrock Foundry are so ridiculously big and unnecessarily lengthy? :frowning:

I know, first world problems but I still want to be able to mount in old content.

A good solution to this is also creating food which increase movement speed inside legacy dungeons. Or food in general that after an instanced kill, you gain a speed movement of 70-100% for x seconds (like 5-10 or so).

But yes, the real obstacle in legacy raids and instances is time. lol

Hopefully! They should allow mounts everywhere IMO, like cars. Cars don’t care if they’re inside or not!

Blackrock Foundry is actually super short in terms of run time. You also get shortcuts back to the main area at the end of all 3 areas.

Can’t they just make some mounts usable indoors and some not? Like a mechanohog or strider is small enough to work indoors.

If you’re a male player…

you can go in with a female dranei, human, or blood elf,

hide all your gear, remove the pants,

zoom in a little.

This way the jog is less onerous. Might even be tempted to RP-walk it.

BRF isn’t that bad. It’s freaking SoO that’s the monster. Thok to Blackfuse makes me want to punch kittens.

p.s. I still support your idea though. When it’s legacy, who cares?

Should add in moving walkways in the longer raids like what airports have. Just let us sit there and be carried off to each boss. :slightly_smiling_face:

SoO is one of the worst, Hellfire too. So much indoor running.

Honestly, the current “Mount equipment” Slot is the perfect place to add an item that allows the mount to be usable in Legacy Raids…

Too much logic in that it seems

Moving walkways would be hilarious. And turn all the stairs into escalators…

Edit: Image of Black Temple Shopping Center is killing me with laughter now…

I hate SoO with the burning passion of 1000 suns.

SoO and Dragon Soul are tied up in hatred for me. DS unskipable RP is maddening.

Right? People complain about Spine but that fight has never bothered me. It’s stupid Alexnevershutup and her burning chaos mind or whatever I don’t care. I just wish everyone in that zone would just STHU.

Getting the last mount from there was the best day of my WoW life.

Blizzard putting Experiment 12-B behind the Waves of Drakes and RP dialog is one of the most sadistic things they have done.

Yes I agree with this…

However what I also wish is to mount in raid combat… It’s like why not? What’s stopping you from casting a mounting spell but not stop an offensive/defensive spell? Allow players to mount in instanced combat, however the same caveat applies: you can’t cast spells/attack while mounted.

Just imagine how much more fun/frustrating raid encounters could be if you could mount during a boss fight and/or had to mount up to make it to a safe area as normal movement speed wouldn’t be enough to make it in time :stuck_out_tongue: or if a boss in a big open field flew away and you had to chase after them, so mount up to give chase otherwise running would take too long.

I support the idea, but I just dont think mounting in a raid like SoO will make much of a difference. You have fights like Spoils, Galatraks, have to kill everything before Sha of Pride spawns. Its the long fights that make SoO a real pain for me.

No amount of mounting will ever fix the temperamental Galakras cannons. We need a gnomish/goblin join task force to get on that asap.

There is a lot of running in SoO once you’re on the bottom floor.

Elevator to that orc guy.
Orc guy to Spoils (this one is a big one).
Thok to Blackfuse (another big one)
Paragons to Garrosh.

It would just make a crappy raid a tiny bit more tolerable.
