Mounts for players that subbed all along?

I’m really trying to not be angry with blizz, I’ve been subbed for longer then the two 6 month periods required for the dread-boat thing and now this completely unique eagle type mount. $15 bucks have been getting withdrawn from my bank account for years now, not the $12.99 for these 6 month subs…$15. So i guess I’m wondering why I and others like me, do not automatically have these mount in our inventory? I don’t feel this is right to reward a short term player and ignore your long term fans of the game.

Just doesn’t seem right.

Your reward is fantastic memories

Doesn’t boost the numbers when they need them. They’re predicting a hit soon so swapped to the good bait.

Blizzard appreciates your ongoing support…isnt that enough?

I shouldn’t have to though, is my point i’m trying to make, these short term players spending $2 bucks less then me per month are getting it for free lol.

But you can buy it with 240k gold, no need to get a subscription.

What you expect a company to grandfather you in on new rewards or content because you’re “loyal?”

Not how that works.

Let’s see how it’s gonna work for them in the longterm, can’t wait for Q2 release.

Why not save money with a 6-month sub if you’re a long-time player that is likely to play for the next 6-months?

Short term players?? I’ve been subbed since 2005 with the recurring 6-month sub. Continuously.

How about you?

If this is the case, why didn’t you go ahead and convert to the 6-month (cheaper) subscription when it was first available?

I assumed that they were going to give the regular subbed players the mounts…but nope

Yes if you’re specificaly the type of players that is ready to bet that the next 6 months will have interesting content, or that you will play no matter what sure that might sounds good.

But what if you pay with tokens and already have nearly up to 2 years paid in advance. Don’t you think asking for 6 more months is a bit too greedy on their part?

You didn’t give them enough money upfront regardless of how good or poor they delivered the service you paid for you. 1 month continuous subs are the most unstable customers in blizzard’s eyes. As such you don’t deserve any recognition.

Because it’s not currently “saving money” on a 6-month sub, at least for me. Because they’ve bundled the dragon WITH the sub (instead of just giving it literally for free to everyone that gets the sub) it becomes a taxable transaction, which means I pay money for what is supposed to be a “free” dragon.

Moreover, because the transaction is tagged as taxable at the time it’s set, I have no way of telling (short of looking at my bank records six months from now) if I’m going to get slammed for the tax AGAIN when it renews.

Then that’s your choice. You make that choice, you don’t get the mount. Easy.

And no.

I guess I shouldn’t expect much from you then.
It’s a hard life to be defending a company greed over consumers.
Let’s see how that will go for that company in the long term.

I’m not clear on how $12.99 isn’t cheaper than $15, tax or no tax. And it isn’t Blizzard’s fault if your legislature wants to tax everything.

Most of those “short term players” are long term players who buy the 6 month sub because its gasp cheaper than paying $15 every month.

No, but it is Blizzard’s fault to create what is a taxable transaction by bundling the two items together instead of just giving the mount to everyone with a 6-month recurring sub… which they could have done, in much the same fashion as the Dreadwake was given to everyone who purchased six months of game time. It wasn’t bundled WITH the game time.
