When you first summon your mount, they make noise, a roar, a neigh, robotic noises, etc.
When you run you get the sounds like when anything moves.
However, when you stand still and idle, you get no sounds. No roars, no yawns, no winnys, nothing. You also get no noise when you press the spacebar while standing still. Absolute silence.
I am pretty sure my mounts made sounds back in Vanilla. Please make mounts great again.
I only remember epic mounts having those idle sound/mountspecials.
I can’t hear sounds even from epic mounts.
I think this is only happening on certain mounts. A friend of mine has the red skeletal horse mount and when he hits the space bar, the horse rears back and makes a noise.
I have a grey kodo mount and when I hit the space bar, the kodo is supposed to sway its head and make a grunting noise. But when I hit the space bar the kodo very briefly begins the animation to sway its head, but that animation abruptly stops and the kodo’s head goes back to its default position. Also it makes no grunting sound.
I’ve also noticed that when I fall far enough to take damage when I land, my kodo makes no sound. It’s supposed to make the same grunting sound as when I hit the space bar while standing still.
I think there’s a bug of some kind in the sound files and animations for many, but not all, mounts.
Yeah, all my guildies reported the same problem last night when I asked them. Every mount makes the animation, but no sound. Sound only when summoning and foot fall sounds.
I know I had seen at least one epic mount make noises, which kept me from making a bug report for this for awhile, but as I stand around waiting for boats, I noticed it again.
This is a “classic” example of the little things that break immersion and pull you out of the game.
