I use an addon that summons a random mount. I like to be surprised.
This is built in functionality now, FYI. When you open up your mounts tab, there’s a yellow icon in the upper right that does that. Same for pets too.
My DK almost always only ever uses the DK mount I got from the DK starting zone… even since original Wrath that is still my number 1 choice. Most my other toons switch things up a little.
Oh yea, but I’d have to mark everything favorite for one, right?
The addon is a bit more nuanced and customizable but I definitely appreciate the response =)

Most of my characters have a different primary mount. There may be a few repeats. They all use the same vendor mount (the yak) and same water mount (Otto).
I make their mount thematically match their transmog.
Yes, they all use the best mount in the game. The Prestigious Midnight Courser!
I don’t use the same mount on all characters, but each alt has a specific mount.
I have a lot of alts, and I fill up 3 action bars on the right side of the screen with them. I usually fill the bottom 4-5 rows with ground mounts and the rest are all flying mounts all the way to the top. That said, only a few of them overall are the same through alts, the rest are all different depending on the alt and their theme.
I change mounts a lot. I’ve got keybindings for a flying mount and a ground mount for each. And I will often change them with outfits or just moods.
I generally pick mounts that are thematic for the class. I have a few that are shared across all toons because I like them.
Mages get blue dragons and flying carpets and magical disks ect.
My druid gets green dragons, groove warden and the wandering ancient.
My warrior gets big spiky mounts.
My DK has a plethora of undead mounts to choose from.
My Shaman has several elementals as well as elemental themed mounts like the expansion lightning gryphon.
Almost all of my toons have my Bloodfang Widow on their bars that I use for ground activities since it’s my favorite mount that I own. A good chunk of my toons also have the Obsidian Gravewing (venthyr mount) for the same reason.
Ill either use Ashes of Al’ar or Invincible on every char mostly Ashes Druid i just use flight form
I wish the rarer mounts I have look good but they don’t.
Ashes, invincible, valiance, look like poo.
I use different mounts depending on character and that characters current design.
I am fond of my dreadsteed for this guy since I actually earned him unlike nearly all warlocks in the current game. ( still got my xorothian glyphs in the bank)
It varies a bit. I use the same mount on some toons, but still try to change things up. My Uncorrupted Voidwing is one that I use on most of my toons as I just love the look of it. I just wish it had a more traditional saddle for it.
I tend to favor the class mounts from Legion, so it depends on the class

I use each ones class mount for flight and whatever I’m feeling for ground
