Im enjoying playing with Hati again, however i was wondering if anyone else feels that having to use an item to mount him feels a little silly and kind of bugged? I just wish we could mount him and not worry about using an item.

That is apparently open for interpretation. If Hati is considered to be the Norse wolf from the pair Skoll and Hati, some references show Hati as female, and others as male. I can’t find a definitive reference from ingame material stating Hati’s gender, although the Wowpedia page calls Hati “he”.

I was hoping he’d by like a druid in travel form. Like just right click on a green arrow and as long as you aren’t in combat you could hop on.

I just wish the buff would last a whole hour without having to reapply it every time I dismount. It’s like 2.5 gold every time I want to hop on him.

Do keep in mind there is a little something called creative licensing and another thing called a homage… Blizzard can and very well has a few times already, change the gender of a character that references a historical figure or mythology to suit the vision of their world. It is not uncommon for this to happen in various forms of media.
As for the specific case of Hati in WoW. As far as I am aware, Blizzard has avoided calling out a specific gender for Hati, all in game references use gender neutral terms when referring to Hati.
I kinda figured that as a mount he’d run off in random directions and aggro stuff on his own.
