Quest description is inaccurate. You can’t shrink the giants with the quest object.
You have to use the item for like four quests before that. How did you make it to the end of the chain and still not know you use it on a corpse?
I did those already. I just stole one dead corpse of the tree ones and kinda roamed around until I got it done. I did the quest of the thread subject already too with a warlock cause I am a shaman and was able to off heal and the lock was able to tank a bit for us. Two man group done it.
The quest says to use the vessel to shrink and capture the “fallen Mountain Giants”. This means you can only use the item on Giants that have been killed. The same language is used on all the previous quests in this chain. The Muisek Vessel does not shrink giants that are still alive. You can use an item from a nearby quest (Zorbin’s Ultra-Shrinker) to shrink the giants and make this quest a lot easier.

Yeah you cannot shrink them.
You’re not supposed to be able to. Shrinking them is from the goblin and part of another quest. Muisek is purely getting stuff from their dead bodies.
Read the quest objectives in the quest before saying that haha.
You can shrink them, but only after you have killed them. You are shrinking the corpse when you use the quest item.
