Mount prices have increased after maintenance to the normal amount for level 40. Instead of 40g for a mount youre gonna need 90g if you have rank 3 and honored.

Not for me~
Yep, because controlling RMT is a primary focus. But lets charge 75 gold for people wanting to respec for a trinket and raise the mount prices back up.
That won’t encourage RMT at all…
/facepalm
I don’t see how this could be a problem for most people tbh.
I remember back in 2019, I easily had enough gold at lvl 40 to buy my training and mount outright, and I didn’t really start getting good money until lvl 30-40. Questing from lvl 30-40 easily supplied enough gold for training and mount in Classic.
Now though in SoD, with level cap being lvl 40, you can literally just hit 40 and then keep questing for like 3-5g per quest and have enough gold to buy mount and training even easier if for some reason you don’t already have enough when you first hit 40.
If quests at 40 still give level capped gold amounts I am in no way worried about the cost of a mount.
I am also a paladin.
Just keep in mind that Divine Steed is a spell, not an item. Meaning you can get locked out of the holy school if a Horde kicks you while you try to mount up. It also resets mana regen for 5 seconds.
Basically, if you’re doing a lot of wpvp, you’re going to want a normal mount at 40 as well. Though free Divine Steed IS nice.
I am PVE only after a decade of being PVP only, but I appreciate your advice none the less!
This I totally didn’t know!
Good! Love my gold sinks.
Banning GDKP but then doing this lolwut.
Guess I’m ganking kids in STV for my alt mounts.
Yeah neither did I, guildies had to tell me haha
I did not know this.
Does that also mean I can purge it???
I don’t know! Maybe?
The people who don’t like this really just want everything for free and for items to have no value. So sad.
You don’t have to buy the new trinket though. Its also very easy to farm gold.
If you can I am gonna make a shaman just to do this, seems hilarious.
in a season where we’re encouraged to play around and experiment, charging excessive amounts of money for things like swapping a trink is just kinda counter productive though.
Its not like we need a gold sink or anything, since this is seasonal, the economy doesn’t matter
It’s the principle, not if I “have” to do it or not.
It’s hard to take anything they do for RMT mitigation seriously when they do this garbage.
Now the GDKP ban (which I agree with) looks like someone at Blizzard just wants to do it because reasons.
Its not excessive though… 75g is easy to get.
You can’t dispel the mount, it’s not a magic buff
