I’ve been doing it a bunch on all my alts, and it definitely doesn’t seem like it’s 100% random. It does pull some super rare mounts, like I did see Black Qiraji tank and a glad mount, but the vast majority are repeats that I have seen several rounds. A lot of store mounts also…
I swear I’ve seen Felstorm Dragon, Scourgebound Vanquisher, Wandering Ancient, Evening Sun Dreamsaber almost every round lol
Finally got asked for an Argent Tournament mount for the first time, (Hippogriff) that was new for me.
As for BFA mounts, I’ve had the Wondering 2.0, several of the alpacas, the Aerial Unit R-21/x
I don’t think I’ve seen any legion ones personally. And no vicious mounts but one glad one.

It appears to not be random. There’s a rotation of mounts it has.
That’s been my (admittedly very limited) experience as well.
Seems to skew much more in favor of “current” mounts. I wonder if they have something in place, that it will only call out mounts that at least one player in the vicinity has?

It’s a poor celebration of 20 years of WoW. Most of the mounts are from 2021 or later, I’m not even sure there’s a single mount from TBC. Certainly not that I’ve seen. That’s to say nothing of the fact they’ve got shop mounts in there, making it pay-to-win.
Mount Mania was a great idea, but this execution sucks.

i do not believe is random…UNLESS dragon isles added about 500 mounts. i did not play that expac ( i just could not get on board with being a dragon etc) but so far each mania i have been in is like 75% dragon isles mounts. esp Emerald Dream ones - according to in game search function. also, Invincible shows up on each one i attend.

I think so! I just had a mount mania where a random KSM mount was called - it was DF S3 KSM.
I feel like to checks around the area myself to pick something someone has but could just be a hunch I have.
Seen this before too. Also ran one and both Spectral Tiger mounts were announced back to back. The only one I have ever seen (once) that nearly everybody had was the Bronze Drake (those that did not probably could not find it in time).
Definitely not random, I have seen the hand of reshkigal come up in around three quarters of the mount manias I have seen. There are a few others that seem to come up most of the time as well.
I think the list of mounts gets larger over time, if you watch her she jumps around and does /mountspecial with them and due to that, Blizz just can’t enter one code into the game that will work on every mount, they have to choose a mount and then add the needed code to make it work, then test it, then add it to her list of available mounts.
And with the event ending on January 6, 2025, who knows if every possible mount will ever be added, or if we will ever see Mount Mania again.
(I’m hoping for Toy Mania or Achievement Mania)
