Mount macro not working

#showtooltip
/use [nomod,flyable]Green Windrider
/use [nomod, noflyable]Horn of the Frostwolf Howler
/use [mod:shift]Horn of the Frostwolf Howler
/use [mod:ctrl]Green Windrider

I tried the version from the “useful macro template”

But it doesn’t do what I want it to do. I want to get on the flying mount in flyable areas and ground mount everywhere else. Also, be able to manually get on either with the use of a modifier and keybind.

EDIT: To clarify, it’s not working when I go back to non-Outland areas it just gives me an error about not being able to use the flying mount.

You’ll want to put the Mods before the others or their conditions will never be met, order of operation thing. Doing so will also remove the need for the nomod condition.

Edit - As an example, below is one of my non-druid mount macros:

#showtooltip
/use [mod:ctrl]Grand Expedition Yak;[mod:shift]G-99 Breakneck;[mod:alt]Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur;[flyable][advflyable]Wastewarped Deathwalker;Carcinized Zerethsteed
/dismount [mounted]

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:ctrl] [nomod:shift, advflyable] [nomod:shift, flyable] Green Windrider; Horn of the Frostwolf Howler

Still says “You can’t use that here” and advflyable doesn’t work on the 20th anni TBC server apparently.

It has both versions of flyable in it. If it’s saying you can’t fly there that’s not the macro, that’s Blizz/mount so check if you’re missing a riding skill. That said, Blizz also has a notorious history or miss-categorizing zones as flyable.

Also, some zones like the belf starting zone weren’t flyable for ages despite flying being enabled in the Classic zones.

Well I’m just in Orgrimmar and it won’t auto mount the land mount instead of the flying one and I just get the “You can’t use that here” error. I just want a one touch macro that will use the appropriate mount when I press the button.

I just want to be able to manually get on the faster ground mount with shift right now because I only have regular not epic flying and in some areas its faster to use the ground mount.

It’s been a long time, but what patch did they enable flying in Azeroth? Do the classic servers follow the same patch cadence as the original?

I don’t think it was enabled until Cata expansion.

Cataclysm.

Which means BC Classic in any incarnation will not have flying in Azeroth open-world continents.

That’s what I figured, once I saw TBC mentioned.

Right, which is why I want a macro that actually works to automate between the two mount types on one keybinding.

Ya, unfortunately its not the macro messing up, it’s Blizz.

#showtooltip
/use [nomod]Green Windrider
/use [nomod]Horn of the Frostwolf Howler
/use [mod:shift]Horn of the Frostwolf Howler

Is what I’m using now but the error message is annoying, and things like /noerror and such dont work anymore?
