My son plays classic. Are there any mounts from the store that can be purchased as a gift for him? Any way to give him a Christmas present?

Mounts are BoE’s so you can always just trade him one or send it in the mail.
You can only purchase mounts with in-game currency in classic, and they need the appropriate level and riding skill.

sorry, didn’t switch over to my classic toon for posting. Void Elves are an allied race that only are playable after reaching exalted with a bunch of factions in Legion. They get a unique transmog when they reach level 110.
It’s like a blood elf, but alliance side, and they taste like purple
