I was really excited about the idea of crafting mounts in Zereth Mortis. Though I just found out that most, if not all of them require ingredients that only drop in the raid.
Are there any craftable mounts that don’t require raid drops?

You get one mount to craft as soon as you do the questline for it, and the Pale Regal Cervid is based on unlocking all Cyphers.
There are many reagents that are rep based or drop from rares.
But how many require no raid mats?

6 mounts require a raid material, 17 mounts do not.

According to https://www.wowhead.com/guides/protoform-synthesis-crafting-system-mounts-pets-zereth-mortis#rare-reagents, probably at least a dozen or so can be done without stepping into raid.
I don’t even know how OP pulled the most, if not all, require raid. And even then, there’s probably LFR.

Only four require the bridle from the raid.

I’ve crafted a spider, a snail, and two bird mounts. The only one that “required” the raid was the snail. And you could just get that pattern from anyone’s lockout that’s cleared the first boss…without even having to kill it yourself.
Idk where you got your information from, but you might want to check again.

As far as I know, there is only one mount that has a schematic that drops from the raid? Or was it a pet? I forget. I’ve unlocked almost all the pets and mounts and so far not encountered any that require raid mats. Anyone got a link to one that does?
Edit: ok. So there appears to be 4 mounts that require mats from the raid. A slight annoyance but not a major issue.
That’s a complete lie… most of them are available outside the ride from chests or rare mobs. The only 2 I’ve come across that come from the Raid is a snail that you don’t even need to fight anything for, literally just pick up. The the other are the ones from the bridle from the chest. The rest are available in ZM.
Some of the schematics are part of the raid.
The maforged bridle seems to drop from the raid. Sadly. But I hope its obtainable through lfr. Havent checked yet since I been spamming mythics on all my characters for the weekly.
If not It means I will have to pug normals which isnt so bad if I get some transmog out of it eventually.
I think blizz should let the bridle drop from maw adds personally in the Arrangement Index.
I crafted two mounts in a few hours. Ingredients for Deathrunner were given by the questline, and I got those for the awesome Scarlet Helicid snail quite easily. The gems abound, I had already the key from the Protector of the First Ones rare, and bought the lattice on Auction House for some hundred gold. No raids.
I think the pet and mount crafting is a great feature. Pity it will probably be only a borrowed system.
