Mount equipment *sigh*

“Why did you remove PVP vendors?”

To remove the ability to target specific items as it reduced your time invested.

“Why did you remove Kara and CoT portals?”

To create more travel time for your old farming.

“Why did you remove the portal to Shrine?”

See above

“Why did you feel the need to change legacy raid loot rules?”

They would rather you form groups to farm the last expansions content so we can recycle it and create more tedium for your playstyle.

“Why did you add 4 versions of tier armor, and WF/TF and then tell users that the system was confusing and warranted removal altogether?”

Because they want you chasing even more pieces of gear with upgrades on top of upgrades to put you on a treadmill.

“Why did you not go back to talent trees?”

Because admitting fault and being wrong would be kneeling to their customers and a true warrior never puts down his sword when his enemies are possibly nearby. Errrrr customers I mean.

“Why haven’t you reverted classes to the versions that worked?”

See above

“Why did you cut the reputation gains from WQ in half for BfA release?”

To keep you on a treadmill.

“Why do toons consistently receive off or NON-spec weapons and armor from world quests when you’ve already coded a loot-specialization option?”

So they can encourage you to start all over again progressing an offspec under the guise of “being alt friendly.” See: Treadmill.

"Why are both artifacts and tier armor, and their effects, labeled legacy items when you have to be 11 levels over the raid you’ve looted it from in order to receive “legacy loot”??

Too lazy to correct it.

Okay I mean, that’s what I’m assuming are the answers but you never know! They could have our best interests in mind… like… um… the water strider change… how they…

Aw dang. You’re probably right.

This is one of the few good changes to the game and you nerds still cry about it. Yes it was soooo cool seeing every person in the game using the same exact ugly azz boring azz mount for the last 50 xpacs because it had super utility unmatched by the plethora of other actually visually appealing/cool mounts in the game.

Kudos to Blizzard for this one.

Poster above has no Azure Water Strider in collection btw.

I’m not sure this is true. From the beginning I and many other advocates for the water-strider have seen nothing wrong with people getting mount equipment. Our concern is about the future of water-walking for everyone except DKs and Shamen.

By creating a consumable we are at the mercy of the current development team, now and in the future.

It is very easy to limit or gray out a consumable, and chances are the majority of people won’t even notice it because the current development team has been doing this for a very long time.

I like having my strider’s x-passive. I enjoy seeing the world from the sea, and when they decide to remove water-walking, it will make doing what I like to do in the game much more difficult.

:rofl::joy::rofl::joy: love the analogy

You got your Angler’s rep back in 2018, it was not a grind then, and could be easily earned through timewalking badges.

I really thought they’d listen to our feedback and at least make the equipment on a by-mount-basis, across an account; which makes more practical sense in the first place.

But why would Blizzard listen to us?

Because we are loyal paying customers.

Not after next month - I’m switching to Warframe and FFXIV.

Feel free to letting them keep charging you to needlessly waste more and more of your time. I’m taking my money to a better company.

I could have sworn Gears came out this month…?

Honestly, I think they did it because 90% of players are on Water Striders. There are so many mounts in the game just not being used because they can’t walk on water. I’m a bit salty too but I get the reasoning and SHOULD livin up the world a tad bit.

But…only 50% of players even have water striders, so how is this possible?

90% you say

Lol

Obviously I was exaggerating. It’s still a really high percentage. And you still need to get the same rep to get the mount. So other players will still have to earn it as well.

Incorrect my dear boy.

You’re either playing a different game then or are letting your salt cloud your judgement

“Confirmation Bias” … look it up.

Even if only 10% of the players play 90% of the time and they all have water striders… no server I’ve ever been on has been dominated by striders. I -might- once in a great while see 3 in a row in Nazmir, but that’s it.

Granted I don’t spend hours looping the ‘gathering routes’ that some apparently spend all their time on, where it’s ALL striders all the time.

Except when it’s sky golems. Then it’s all bugs and bots all the time.

Except when it’s druids. Then it’s DRUIDS and bugs and bots all the time…

or something like that.

He knows that there is no comparison between mounts that are supposed to be a permanent attachment to your account and artifacts from Legion that were only for that particular expansion. He’s not stupid he knows exactly what you’re talkin about he’s just trying to argue because he knows that taking the ability off of The Strider was wrong and he just doesn’t want to admit it

Sorry for the water strider owners, I am. But I’m also looking forward to buying water footies and getting my boat to finally move faster across the water than an oversized rowboat manned by a 90-year old arthritic gnome.

Yeah they’re just exaggerating it’s never been all Striders except for as I’ve said right after a bunch of people earned them when BFA dropped. For about 2 weeks everybody was showing off their new water-strider and then once the newness wore off they stopped riding them as much. . We all know it some of us are just trying to exaggerate to prove a point. And they don’t even have much of a point. Because our Point has been that they could have made these changes and left the water-strider alone just like they left the sky Golem alone. They didn’t have to screw over my water-strider so that little Johnny role-player can make his Yak walk on water too. And that is the core of this discussion. They did not repeat did not repeat did not have to screw over the water-strider in order to give the rest of these mounts water-walking. End of story

You say that… but you’ll be literally and figuratively be back in the exact same slow boat you were before the water-booties… as soon as you make the inevitable upgrade to Speed mount equipment.

You can’t summon up a water walking pet to make your boat float faster?
