One of my Guildmates has 727 mounts and counting. I feel like Blizz should do something for here putting that time in to collect that many. As far as I know that is the most of any player in wow. Does anyone that can actually prove it and not just troll a number have more?
727 doesn’t even crack the top 3000.
Most mounts collected is 916.
Nobody cares.

I HAVE OVER 9000. Except that they’re not in Wow.
Blizzard doesn’t really care, they only add new achievements when they feel like the masses can hit that number pretty easily, being hundreds of mounts ahead of everyone else earns you nothing.
(I was once the top collector for all Aussie servers and in the top 10-20 collectors in the world, and i can tell you that the only people who care are other serious collectors lol)

My google results got me to 916 and 757, but I imagine not a lot of these sites are going to be accurate, because I don’t know where they’re pulling. If it’s from armory data, then its accurate enough, but if its based off of individual uploads, then its just going to be accurate to their user base.
You just gotta think about all the insanely rare mounts, like the MoP world boss mounts, super rare drops like Invisible, all the in store mounts, all the obscure mounts from the TCG and events long past, top percentile pvp mounts, etc.
I consider myself a mount collector, but I’m just around 450 with only a few ultra rares. These people have more than a few, they have most ultra rares.
yeah I don’t know what the actual top number is. I know she can prove it with screenshot. there are just some things I feel u should get something special for. like a title or something. I don’t have anywhere near that many myself. I also feel you should get achieve for getting all 5 points in one shot on the cannon game in Darkmoon faire lol I do it all the time and am disappointed every time there is no achieve for it lol. Achievements just feel good like an acknowledgement for putting in extra effort.

I was simply trying to illustrate that even though i was a high ranked collector, the only people who care about that stuff is the other high ranked collectors, Blizzard doesn’t care and neither does the average WoW player lol

it’s already stupid they lock mounts behind a certain number of mounts achievement… don’t give them anymore idea.
Sucks that you’re never really going to be in that top-top percentile… if you don’t PvP.
The game is built on PvE. 99% of the content is for PvE. And even that content I simply don’t have enough time for it. Now you’re telling me I HAVE to PvP at a competitive level just to collect mounts?
I have to say something that Blizzard should NEVER want a customer to say: I guess I just have to ignore that content.
I made my peace with that a long time ago. I dabble in PvP, but it’s such a dumpster fire of imbalance EVERY expac, it’s never worth my time.
Sucks, but that’s the way it is. But my mount total is still pretty respectable. It’s still a fun side-hustle in WoW.

Ok, in all fairness though, i said it within the very relevant context of this thread, and the entire point of saying it was to emphasis the fact that nobody else cares about it (outside of the other serious collectors), it wasn’t a brag
