Hello,
I’m fairly new to Augmentation. Is Motes of Possibility a garbage talent? I really want to use it because it seems cool lore-wise, but the buffs I get aren’t very good (most often a small increase to healing received), they appear pretty rarely and the durations are extremely short.
I’ve looked at online talent calculators and none of them say to take that talent. Should I leave it in the trash can even though it looks kind of neat in theory?
If it’s so unusable, why haven’t the devs changed it? It’s fairly low in the tree to be such a bad talent, no?

It’s pretty lackluster – it was only popular for a while because of the bugged interaction with Scalecommander that overlord had and you had to take it to get overlord.
All of the other alternatives are just much better.
They did, it’s just still not good enough to take in that position.

Yeah it’s not that great unfortunately.
It would have some potential just cause it applies shifting sands but the problem is mostly you’ll almost never get the orb on anyone else cause they just constantly follow you. And it’s a 1/3 chance to get the fire buff, healing taken, or the good one (shifting sands).
