Which herbs/nodes/zones should I focus on farming spots? Any herbs or ores I should be on the lookout for?
Not sure what’s selling on the AH. Might want to check there. Also there’s some online sites with detailed info.
Good luck, bots are rampant now and no lifers.
Any information for say, gold making purposes is best serviced by you going onto your auction house, having tsm, seeing various items and how fast they sell etc… also you can check/look up your server on theunderminejournal,
Ultimately you provide little info to what your aim is when comparing to a multitude of herbs, ores etc where people can list you 1001 things.
Silverleaf and Peacebloom in Elwynn. You’ll be raking in that silver in no time!
Herbalism and mining aren’t as profitable as they were at the start of 9.1 so I don’t really actively do them anymore.
I remember the herbs from Maldraxxus not selling for much at all. Ardenweald was just okay; the Tirna Scithe area is actually a decent place to do herbalism because even though the area is filled with elite mobs, there are mushrooms that give you stealth that persists even when you’re grabbing herbs. I remember the herbs and ore in Bastion and maybe Revendreth being pretty decent gold.
Stuff from the past two expansions still sells. I’ve never bothered trying to do BfA mining or herbalism for gold because I didn’t really play during BfA so it feels like a waste of time until I get pathfinder. Legion ores and herbs still sell, for more than most Shadowlands ores and herbs on my realm (but not in the same quantities).
You can actually make decent gold doing herbalism in classic WoW zones because not many people do it anymore and it’s easy to be the only person selling a particular herb that someone else might need because they want to level alchemy or whatever
Depends on your server. Just pray that your auction house isn’t infested with sweaty cancel-scanners.
Edit: I see that you’re on Illidan. Good luck.
The bad news is that you are on Illidan. Quantities currently on market range from 23862 (Death Blossom) to 142900 (Widowbloom). You are at the mercy of the big dogs. Your stuff may or may not sell. It’s all a matter of timing. I’d harvest Rising Glory and hope for the best.
But don’t expect to get rich.
Its still the legendary item, you get from Korthia. Last time I checked its sells for 1750 gold a pop.
142k available? If it’s selling for more than a silver that’s a serious market failure.
Not sure why that would be a market failure. Illidan is one of the highest pop servers. Most servers have thousands or 10’s of thousands of Widowbloom available. Illidan has some of the lowest prices among all realms. Seems about right to me.
The tricky thing is you never know the history of each item. It could be bought and resold several times. It could be relisted several times.
You only know the snapshot of what is on the market. Some of it could be freshly harvested. Some of it is stashed on the AH because a player ran out of bank space. There is a lot that goes on in the economy that is hard to explain. That’s why the OPs question is hard to answer.
First, get Trade Skill Master if you don’t have it. One of the gathering add ons is good too, like Gathermate.
Second, save the website Undermine Journal and use it to check what items are selling well on your server(s).
Third, if you collecting mats, make sure you have all the gathering upgraded for all expansions.
Then start researching what sells best for your server and how much time you are prepared to put into gathering. For example: Inscription requires certain inks which come from herbs and some inscription glyphs and other items sell for very decent prices. Find out which ones sell the best and collect the herbs for those. Mats like herbs and ores and skins are used for lots of different things, not just the most obvious.
It can take time but it can be extremely profitable if you are prepared to put in the work.
PS: be wary of the many “how to make gold” videos on youtube. Most of them only work for the servers the vid creator is on and what seems spectacular to you will turn out to be a trainwreck of putting too much time and effort into something that gets you no decent income. You need to work out what works for you, not what others say works for them.
Whatever sells well on your server.
Depends on the volume. But most likely that’s just holdings from endless pump and dump runs. Or for this game, buy up everything, raise prices, sell on the way down, then aggressively drive prices down, then buy up everything.
A functioning market is supposed to be the most efficient way allocating resources through price information. If the volume is only 2-10k a day, that’s a huge surplus generated by artificial price manipulation.
That’s the first time I ever heard of this, and it’s hilarious!
Right now nothing really sells. What I would do is collect them and hold them until 9.2 drops. Once people start raiding again, they’ll need feasts, flasks, and potions. Herbs that make those things will sell well then.
