Mage’s frost tree is the most stacked one in the game. Every single talent is useful.
30/0/21 Ele-resto, only SP’s can compete.
Edit, why? Oh yes, proficient team heals, self heals, survivability, Windfury totem for my friends, Tremor, the list goes on… Oh and can kill hordes of ally at Blacksmith in a matter of seconds.
Well I agree with those who say rogue as a class, its probably the most balance class when it comes to purely talents.
All three can pretty much perform well in any of the situations the find themselves in in both defense and power.
Assasin can gurantee crit someone, sub can almost gurantee crit someone from in stealth and also can reset cool downs. Combat can easily burst and cleave enemies and can use all of their weapon types in doing so.
Pretty much all rogue talent trees are powerful and least changed.
Mages are probably close to being the next one.
Frost is very defensive while arcane and fire are very powerful though arcane is kinda defensive, fire is glass cannon with added effects to crits.
Arcane hybrid with any other spec of mage is probably as powerful any tree can get.
I mean, if that’s all you’re doing you’re doing it wrong.
I used to get zerking, send my Succubus to seduce a poor soul, put CoE on them, pop ToEP and then Soulfired.
My gear wasn’t the best, but it didn’t 1-shot without decent gear or proper set-up. Still a fun ability.
You’re right, this thread is about talent trees, and last I checked, Destruction is a talent tree. It also has the single strongest warlock talent (or even caster talent, really) that makes spell crits do 200% damage instead of 150% which is mandatory for any raiding spec, on top of the tree having some insane burst potential.
You’re also the one that started derailing the thread talking about how “soul fire does around 800 damage” which is a blatant lie. You then start making completely nonsensical statements about what qualifies as “one shot” on top of spreading complete misinformation, further derailing the thread.
I don’t necessarily agree with the statement that was initially made regarding Destruction being the strongest talent tree, but I find it hilarious that you would actively derail the thread with your nonsense and then act like you weren’t when I called you out on the nonsense you were saying.
By the way, Soul Fire does fire damage (it’s in the name) and doesn’t benefit from Improved Shadow Bolt, which increases shadow damage. It also doesn’t do a measly 800 damage, just like Pyroblast doesn’t do only 600 damage, it can hit well over 4k in BWL gear. Add Immolate–>Conflag/Shadowburn, and you can easily get up to 6k damage at the same time, but that’s besides the point.
My beef with the warrior trees is that there is very little flexibility because you must take the 31 point talent. No choice, other than maybe prot. Can’t live without that instant attack.
And in pvp you really don’t want to forego enrage. You also really don’t want to give up MS for team fights or vs anything that heals.
Frost (mage) and sub (rogue)
Allows reset of very important cds immediately
- Frost-Mage
- Subtlety-Rogue
- Shadow-Priest
I’m thinking particularly from a PvP standpoint for #2 and #3. However the frost tree is incredible for just about any situation.
even with demo spec being the best in my eyes i have to say i would put frost ahead and then shadow below warlocks.
Druid balance tree. No contest.
As people mentioned Prot but there are so many combinations in the Prot tree that synergize well. Not just defense but utility and CC.
- Iron will alone for 15% stun and charm resist isn’t amazing but ontop of 25% from Orc racial stun it is.
- Revenge stun not on DR with 5 sec stun concussion blow.
- Shield bash silence.
So with the already powerful tanking tree, it has the utility and immunity needed to tackle situations and be a pain in the a$$.
The tree is good early or if you want to go Deep Prot. A lot of choices.
Does any other tree have 2 stuns, Silence, Dispel etc…etc… etc…
You’re actually a moron if you believe Soulfire only does 800 damage and is incapable of one shotting someone of equal gear. Soulfire unbuffed can hit for around 1.6k, and crit for somewhere around 3.2k in tier 1 gear. That’s unbuffed.
Here’s your set-up that you’re talking about, that’s literally only Curse of Elements and maybe a trinket (that can be used between globals, might I add):
Add a Curse of Elements and a Zandalarian Hero Charm, it hits for about 2.2k and crits for about 4.5k. In tier 1 gear, that’s enough to one shot a hell of a lot of people outside of warriors and other warlocks.
That’s it. Soulfire is the only damaging ability you need to use to kill someone, because it will literally one shot somebody. 100-0 in one spell cast, nothing they can do. It doesn’t require the stars to align, you literally pick a target, CoE it, and Soulfire it. If Soulfire crits, there’s a very good chance that target is dead.
It’s not like PoM pyro where you gotta Sheep, use all your long CDs, then pyro and run around in circles casting fire blast because your target survived the pyro.
You gonna keep acting a fool or are you done?
