Looking for the most powerful leveling class from 1 to 120. Making a new character soon and I don’t care about end game at all, just helping a friend level, and I want to kill fast.
I have three classes in mind but my mind is willing to be changed.
Warrior
Hunter
Enhancement shaman (I’ve just always liked fist weapons, but I’ve read enhance shamans are in a bad place right now…)
BM Hunter for quest leveling no contest. you can pull from super far and pull BIG, you can keep killing while collecting items for objectives, 0 downtown with pet heal (instant) you can even have added running speed with a cunning pet, bunch of utility if you ever are close to dying which should never happen anyways.
They are actually really good at doing damage if you have the right gear. They are however incredibly squishy but if you are spamming dungeons from 1-90 like you probably should then they will be just fine.
I believe the BM Hunter is the top choice.
Whatever you do, don’t go with the Warrior.
I agree. It’s hard to beat a hunter when it comes to leveling speed.
warrior is actually right behind BM hunter in terms of 0 downtime (victory rush), better aoe (fury), mobility (double charge + leap + war machine). I leveled 5 warriors to max and its is pretty damn fast if you know what you are doing.
Druids are pretty strong, a lot of choices so far as play styles go but you can also sneak through a bunch of crap to get to your objectives when you need to.
Sad that you don’t consider Warlock. I have both a Hunter and Warlock I find the Lock superior for leveling.

For leveling?
Affliction Warlock. Dot the entire world and afk to make a Sub Supreme Sandwich. Come back level 110.
Hunter and Lock are the obvious choices…
But to me the quickest and easiest is by far a fury warrior.
And if you want to chain dungeons, switch to tank and go to town.
Did I mention fury warriors are insanely fast? Whirlwind+victory rush+bloodrage = unlimited mob pull

Umm I would say Demonology is better, which make me gasp , lol. I used to love my Affliction lock. I would choose affliction over demonology in a New York minute! The damage is sub-par compared to Demonology. Shard accumulation is dumb, waiting on RNG to populate your shards is agony, (sorry had to say it that way :P)
I don’t know that there are any other classes that rely on RNG to populated their spenders. ? Maybe DK ?
I used to be a straight up Destro lock but when they devastated class tree skills I started playig with other specs, (No more hybrids.

Warrior is easy mode leveling ever since they got Victory Rush.
Also any Tank for most powerful leveling class. Tanks are grotesquely overtuned before 120, especially Warriors, Paladins and DK’s.
Efficiency - Hunter no contest
Speed - Monk due to the exp buff they get.
If you like pain and suffering - Rogue
Pretty sure monks are strong levelers as well since some of those in the past complained about ‘one shotting’ things.
I recollect when the warlock affliction spread to other npcs after killing the original target. That was nice for farming old instances.
Between the 3 options, I’d go for Hunter.
Mostly because you can tag/aggro mobs from a far distance and BM hunter have it’s own tank (aka pet).
But if you want to consider other classes that can tag/aggro:
I’d say that those are my top picks for fast leveling by questing (together with hunter).
If you are going to do random dungeons, I’d pick something that can tank aswel like Warrior or Paladin, justo for fast queue times.
