Most people are good

*Gamestop is proof of this.

Remember that when ingame. The community, what’s left of it, is really pretty great.

Have a great day.

How is Gamestop good? I heard they were a pretty shady customer-unfriendly company.

EDIT: Not that I disagree about the community! I find far more friendly players than fartnuggets in my gaming journeys.

Because it was supposed to make certain people wealthier but instead, some got together and bought it so the stock went way up.

It’s not specifically Gamestop, it’s what a rather large group of people did to make a point and the world noticed.
Check it out.
It’s cool.

The cashiers were cool to me tbh, but I rather not work for gamestop tbh.

Heard a lot about the low pay and so on. I heard cause I was thinkin about working there and did lil research.

There’s a youtube channel that exposes a lot of the scummy practices Gamestop uses from the viewpoint of a former manager. He had a recent video where he joined in on a local Gamestop region earnings call. lol. It was pretty entertaining.

I gotta admit the scenery did make me wanna visit more.

Most people I’ve encountered at GameStop have been nice (except for the Uber-fanboys), but the company’s business practices almost make Disney look nice…

Of all the stocks suffering why gamestop is my question. At least choose something that could help make a difference in the world.

GameStop hasn’t turned a profit since 2017. Your definition of good is lacking.

Nothing related to the stock market is good. The only thing good coming out of this was wide level public awareness of how scummy every part of Wallstreet is and hopefully the public memory lasts more then 54 seconds this time.

The awareness of what is going on in the world and what the Gamestop deal actually IS seems to be beyond the understanding of most people replying, lol.

“Derrrr, Gamestop store in my mall isn’t that good.”

Anyway, yes, OP, I, too, enjoyed the crowdsourced hosing of hedge funds. It was an awesome way to demonstrate some of the stupidities of the stock market.

To many scary stories from people who worked at Gamestop. Reminded me of working at Sears years ago where they cared more about selling product protection plans then actual merchandise…hic!

Giggle. Meanwhile, my son is sitting on his 15 shares of AMC and getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to keep at it.

I mean I did it to make money but if I can give a giant F U to the rich of this world, that’s a pretty nice bonus too.

If youre rich, especially if youre rich off of financial exploitation, F U.

Gamestop & AMC Theatres.

Read the articles about it. I posted a link in my OP. It’s pretty damn smart.

This belongs in the off-topic forum.

Edit: I do agree this is a good thing.

You’re one of the few that got what I was trying to say. It’s probably me, I’m not always very clear.

Anyway, I’m glad you understand.

This is a good thing, though it seems to be rather than proving that most people are good it’s just the internet being the internet.

The internet is a chaotic place that doesn’t care and will throw away a few hundred dollars each to watch billion dollar hedge funds crash because “haha numbers go brrr”.

The internet is also a chaotic place that will send you death threats because you delayed the video game they wanted to play.
