I’m tryna cheese this expansion, what do I go?
Melee: Arms Warrior, Unholy DK, Sub Rogue, or Ret Paladin.
Caster: Destruction Lock, Ele Shaman, Shadow Priest, or Frost Mage. However real men will play a balance druid.
All are S-Tier IMO

You didn’t mention MM hunter and that’s what i’m maining 
MM isn’t bad you will be fine. If you like MM you would probably like Elemental Shaman too. I find boomkin to be alot of fun.
If I was to recommend a melee it would be unholy DK I mained unholy in the first Wrath back in 2008/2009.
playing last patch of wrath where unholy was meh.
The thing is that I know i’ll get focused so much it’ll be super annoying to play around, esp DKs or other hunters who just keep you silenced and stunned and you can’t really do much but try and run to heal.

I’ve played warmane for 10+ years and original wrath so I’ve seen a lot of the OP stuff.
Best Comps
Melee cleaves are good. Arms warriors + DKs + Paladins are good because of this
Beast Cleave: one of the best comps in the first 2 seasons then it wears off a bit
RMP: Good in every season results will vary based on skill level
Caster Cleaves: These are good in season 8
Melee Caster X: Any caster with a melee class (that has mortal strike healing reduction effect) is quite powerful.
Best Classes
Hybrid: Ele shaman hands down and Preg Paladin (prot ret hybrid spec)
Caster: Destro lock ( mages are good too but if its just a 1 to 1 comparison I think warlocks are better)
Melee: Warrior, Rogue
Healers: Hpaladin #1, Disc Priest
Faceroll cheese specs that might be good but could be a bit simple and boring
BM Hunter (as beast cleave)
MM Hunter (with Destruction lock and Ele shaman in 5s OP)
Preg Paladin
Destruction Warlock
why is it called preg paladin

Because Prot (pr) and Ret (eg) =preg duh 
Also I “heard” that when there were WotLK 1v1 tournaments with los (i.e. in arena) Ret would win. Different story if an open world duel though. Have no personal experience just what I’ve seen repeated.

it’s been a long time since wotlk, but iirc, casters with haste were top. mages with 0.8 sec poly and similar for lock/fear and spriest with all the things. caster cleaves were really good, like destro/ele/healer, frost/shadow/healer. rmp was still good and could counter caster cleave, but wasn’t a hard counter.
I guess the boomer in me wants to say it’s Pret not Preg but idk the Warmane lingo so
the base spec name is probably regibution in danish or whatever the hell warmaners use
