I’m not really sure how to start this thread other than that so here goes. Most threads started on this forum have absolutely no intention of actually reaching a conclusion or of discussing viewpoints. Most everyone here just wants to argue for the sheer sake or argument and nothing you say or do will have any impact. There’s the occasional thread that has some insight but most of this forum exists merely to serve as an argument board for people who have nothing better to do.
Trying to better myself as a person ie: drinking less, eating more healthy, recognizing toxic people in my life, ect, has made me realize this just how unhealthy this place is. I don’t really know what i aim to accomplish with this post other than to air my thoughts out.
I guess tl;dr i’m tired of reading the same 5 or so arguments over and over that are perpetuated because the people arguing them need something to argue about.

when i first came here at the end of wod i tryed to take the forums seriously and have real conversations after a month i gave up and just post dumb stuff now cause why not.

yep you’re right. ive been here since BC and it’s never changed. we’re all really just here because we either hate ourselves or we love drama, no other reason to stick around
A forum, by definition is a place for people to gather and discuss. People arguing and seeking confrontation is part of the deal because humans are emotionally driven primates and some people are way too starved for validation or the need be argumentative 
This is something you can observe in a lot of animals too. Granted its less violent here. (sometimes)
I understand your point and if you think being away from these forums (or any for that matter, I mean have you seen facebook/twitter? if you think its bad here…let me tell ya.) is healthy for you, by all means, do yourself that favor, you deserve to only ever give yourself the best 
no bad can come of it! Because you’re righ,t it can get pretty tiring, but thankfully its as easy as closing your browser tab and you can shut off all that noise! Which is typically what I do when ive had my fill of the GD forums.
ye i kinda flip flop between serious mode and silly mode. but i’ve noticed that my actual reviews on how the game mechanics, or my takes on the story that aren’t outright its good or bad are usually ignored. Its always my spicy meatball takes that get updoots or traffic, and not my actual reviews on how i think the game works.

I mean you’re not wrong. Just sucks i guess, i really do enjoy wow but i really would like to interact with its forum or otherwise community while playing and time and time again the conclusions always been: just heckin stop playing this game if you can’t do that. Guess thats an answer enough in of itself.

Welcome to the circus.
You may notice certain toon names have posts that always go big - this is no mystery, and they rarely have something interesting to say - it’s sock puppeting.
People with multiple accounts or toons create a false narrative on the daily here from topics “going big” to fake likes.
I come here out of boredom or when I want something between my paws.

you aint wrong. guess i just thought at some point people would grow beyond it. Unfortunately its much like alot of other things in life, after a certain point you have to stop caring and just pretend said people don’t exist for your own sanity.

Ironically enough, the reddit page for WoW is better (in terms of discussing the game) than these forums are. Personally, I have a fondness for the madness here, but… that’s what I’ve heard.

It can have its charm, a few users on here at least seem to be clued in on that this place is ridiculous. Iunno, i guess i’ve just always thought that despite it all people actually had a point to what they were saying here and not just looking to start yet another argument. Perhaps thats my mistake.

Eh I think some do. I have had some pretty good conversations here, but yeah you have to sift through a lot of garbage to get there and that task isn’t for everyone.

You’re checking GD…There’s plenty of focus forums besides GD and Devs should check Feedback there.
I only check the forums in hopes of seeing Averyx asking what I’d do if I woke up with [x] or to see Adelphie and Frostscythe fight.
