Hi all,
I’m looking to make a paladin alt. I was wondering, what horde race would you consider the most noble, best fitting for a paladin?
Currently I’m thinking Tauren, but would love to hear some other opinions.
Thanks.

All the available Horde Paladin races are capable of being noble if one wishes to see and characterize them that way.
Tauren may quite easily be the most noble Horde race, because they serve as something of the “heart” of the Horde and always tend to be described as peaceful and wise as their character traits.
Blood Elves and Zandalari however are also perfectly sensible as being described as noble if you wish to prefer them for a Paladin character, Blood Knights having been redeemed after the restoration of the Sunwell and Zandalari Prelates being shown to value the safety and care of the civilian populace when Dazar’alor is under attack.
Thanks for that input on Blood elves and Zandalari, I’ll have to look into the lore a little deeper I think!
Orks, Pre-Garrosh
I really love Blood Knights as they are the embodiment of a sense of justice and vengeance for their kind after they were ignored by the Alliance and killed by Arthas. Blood elf lore is really intertwined with their paladins (the Blood Knights) and how they can channel the light by their own strenght and will, not by faith. Which, in a way, makes them way more interesting - in my opinion - than any Alliance’s paladins.
In that way, I do believe that their goals are, at most times, really noble when you think of them as a race (even though sometimes their methods aren’t).
Overall, actually, I think Horde’s races are a lot more interesting than Alliance’s, that are really the clichès of fantasy storytelling.
I agree Amenthes, especially mag’ghar are pretty noble!
Thanks Nulion for your info on blood elves. I like the idea that they channel light with their strength/will rather than faith. I’m feeling torn between BE and Tauren at this point I think.
Tauren hands down!
Tauren, 100%.
I tortured a Na’aru for my pally powers, dammit! Don’t call me noble.
Unless you mean a wealthy landowner, then yeah.
Holycow, there is no other noble horde race
The Tauren are a noble race but in lore they are sunwalkers, druids who worship the other eye of the Earth Mother, the Sun. But Zandalari prelates fit the Silver Hand and the definition of a Paladin in Warcraft to a T. I recall a topic examining this and here’s my overall feeling about horde paladins from that topic from a lore perspective.
Any of the hordes races that can be pallies can be noble, it might be easier to swing certain ones as more noble then others but its your character and you can play them as noble as you want.
If what you care about is being noble then Tauren are the best choice. I do like Blood Elves but they are not the noble type.
Idk how true this is, but the perception at least is there. The most noble Horde race is the Tauren. Now as far as what fits the paladin, lore wise, I think nothing on the horde really does (and I say this as a predominantly horde player). I will accept the TBC lore that Blizzard made for Blood Elves, but Zandalari & Tauren Pallies, are just out of left field for me.
I find Zandalari to look really noble, especially since they stand up nice and proud compared to their Darkspear cousins.
plus the whole theme of gold fits well
