What zone had the most memorable music for you when you played private server or vanilla? As in, if you were to hear the background music again, you’d instantly be sent back to those memories.
For me, the barrens obviously. But I also remember the music of darnassus and loving it the first time I entered the city, as well as ashenvale.

Pretty much a lot of the horde tracks Thunderbluff, and all those mountian tracks in Stonetalon 1k needles etc.
Teldrassil. I listen to OG vanilla music on pandora. Teldrassil is by far my favorite.

In the demo you could see the Great Lift…but couldn’t leave the Barrens. Soon.
I cannot remember any music from the game, yet when I zone into each zone it feels like home and just fits… Great job to the wow team on that , they always manage to get that right and create perfect atmosphere.
I do like the mists of pandaria - Monk Windwalker as the most memorable.

The Song of Elune is my favorite.
Elwynn Forest and Westfall. Actually listening to those soundtracks is what convinced me to resub during WoD.
Ugh, right at 0:50 just love it. Just feels so… Warcraft/tauren esque, can’t really explain it beyond that despite being so slow and mellow but it’s great.
For my money, it’s the Barrens, it’s so simple and yet it just feels so… magic.

I don’t know what it is about the Barren’s tunes, but it just has this affect over me, I can’t really describe it but damn do I feel it.

Haunting and fits the zone so well. I can’t believe Blizzard actually removed it. It was so unique.
Stormwind is easily the most Epic Music for me.
I remember first stepping through the gates as morning hit and the Cinematic feel from missing the intro from picking a Human really hit. I accidentally skipped the post-creation scene, so I didn’t get to hear it till I walked in the gates, seemed to make my first impression all the more awe-inspiring.
Stranglethorn Vale. It reminds me of paddling deep into a jungle. The wilderness. The danger. The - Gankdu’s ambush hits you for 3x your health.
Westfall’s music comes to mind (I’m pretty sure most of the same tracks that play in Westfall play in the Barrens)
Most memorable tho is the log in screen’s music.
