Most hated Madness Affix?

I’ve been 5 masking for weeks, clearing both cities several times, so it’s not like I can’t complete the Visions, but something about Split Personality…

When I am in combat and really need to move, or it procs while I’m standing still and I get hit by defiled ground or something else when I just so happen to not have blink up and I die.

There is nothing that makes me want to smash my computer more than getting screwed over by this affix (I can’t remember the last time I even slammed a mouse or shouted at my screen!)

I’m just curious if I’m the only one who HATES this affix with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns or if you guys think there’s one that’s worse.

probably the slow… followed by thing from beyond…

I had x4 procs in a row of those… of course died.

now madness I think dark delusions when they spawn really close to you on small areas and of course the infamous split personality.

Split is worse, leaden is a close second

Yeah split personality is the worst. I love when it goes off then a forced movement effect triggers it.

Scorched feet into split personality is pure sadism.

No scorched feet is the definition of fun. Especially with the burrowing appendages. I didn’t want to be able to attack them anyway.

For me, it’s scorched feet. I don’t actually mind Split Personality. I hated it at first, but once I realized the purple haze telegraphed it, I didn’t have trouble with it anymore.

Scorched feet throws me around and interrupts my casts. I hate it. I mean, sure, I can face the way I want to go, and it’s kinda useful if you really play it hard for moving faster, but it’s just awful. I cannot STAND it.

I mean, when I’m not in combat it’s fine. I can just proc it intelligently, but keeping track of it in the heat of battle… Things always go awry.

Scorched feet doesn’t trigger if you don’t move, though, so you can decide when to trigger it.

I hate Split Personality with a passion, and I also really hate the stupid bugs. Nothing like running into a pack of mobs because I forgot to jump.

I had my first death/failure in a vision yesterday. It was because of split personality. I had done my full clear with my first one-mask ever (I was late to the party), and I super excited about it. It went SO well. I was all chuffed with myself.

Then I died to Thrall at 3% because of split personality and a cascade of stuff that happened during and after the disorient.

So. Yeah. I get it.

edited to add: I ripped my headset off and threw it on the dog bed. I have NEVER done anything like that.

I recommend going for the Burned Bridge Mask next. Easiest mask to full clear on. You’re in for a treat when you start 5 masking. :stuck_out_tongue:

For me the only annoying thing about Split is its inconsistencies of the things disappearing - sometimes they’ll all poof away at once, and other times some will go and others will stay for a bit longer. I mean, is that even intended or?

Honestly Desynchronised annoys me the most when you’re crawling around at a snail’s pace.

I chose the one (name is escaping me) that gives a mob when you get below 50% sanity, thinking no big whoop. I’ll try burned bridge next time. I’ve watched some guildies streaming their 3-masks with it, so I think I can handle that one.

I find them really fun, actually…the visions. I really hope to 5-mask on both the druid and my hunter before the end of BfA. Little happy goals.

Split is definitely the most devilish of all Affixes. No doubt about it.

Dark Imagination. An easier one, but Burned Bridge just means you leave a puddle on the ground. Ideally don’t walk over it, but even if you do it does like no sanity drain.

They’re fun, but they can also be pretty darn frustrating.

For me nothing beats running through valley of spirits with my warrior, fighting second set of ads near second totem, being stupid enough to forget to jump to remove bugs, getting blasted away by scorched feet + bugs off the bridge into surrounding area. Then unable to climb back up. And realising you have 700% void damage debuff and getting one shotted.

I have yet to get hit by the bug move, but yeah that sounds like a whip your mouse moment for sure.

This is exactly why I hate Scorched Feet. And the final boss of Tol’Dagor, while I’m at it. :stuck_out_tongue:

In the entire rest of the game, I’m free to make small, micro-adjustments to my position and basically jitter around as I please. It’s only when these two things come up that I suddenly just have to … sit there. Never quite happy with my positioning.

It’s not the worst and it’s totally avoidable, but I still hate it. It’s not fun to counterplay, either.

Oh, and getting it in the Valley of Spirits is just the worst. I love getting stuck under all those bridges and things…

Leaden Foot.

I can deal with split.
Having to stay still constantly as a melee is obnoxious. I pretty much never run in a group because of it.

Everything but split personality is irrelevant
