Keg Smash iz lyfe.
Iâve gotten all 6 this tier to at least KSM and hands down itâs blood dk for me.
I can literally do 15-20 keys without even feeling like I need a healer in the group. If the dps could survive I would literally take a 4th dps over a healer and Iâd be fine.
Ranged interrupt, grips, death and decay slow, AMS/AMZ, brez, it just has something for every situation.
Also people complain that blood dk dps is low but donât realize that youâre literally freeing up the healer to just dps as you donât need him to heal you at all most of the time. So even if youâre 1-2k less dps overall than another tank, youâre healer should easily be making that up in the damage they put out not having to waste globals healing you
Most me included say
2nd is master
Anything but a bear. I enjoyed blood and brew the most.
Bear is way too easy and brainless for me
Subjective question, but blood DK looks great.
For the fun factor, I have a toss up between bear and warrior. Usually whichever is better in a given patch. Warrior for its playstyle and bear for its utility, self-sustain, and very natural tankiness. I like bear more this time around because of the fel-bear skin and the ability to do huge pulls.
I also enjoyed brewmaster in its early iterations but not so much anymore.
M1a2 due to fire guidance
Blood DK.
Then again, I mainly solo so I guess that disqualifies âbest tank.â
Imo bears are there for the unskilled face roll players, bit like havoc dh.
Prot warr/blood dk. Thereâs no debate
MoP Brewmaster
Ranked in order of fun from most to least:
- Prot Pal
- VDH
- Prot Warr
- Face tanking as a mage.
- Face tanking a priest.
- Bear
- Face tanking as a level 1 priest but being afk.
- Face tanking as a level 1 mage but being afk.
- BM monk.
- BDK
All tanks are pretty good.
But I like Monks, Druids and Demon Hunters the most.
Bears have probably the simplest rotation and toolkit of all the tanks, but itâs pretty fun hitting Berserk and becoming an immortal thrashing god of death.
Monks have by far the best resource system and while Shadowlands iteration is no MoP Brewmaster, itâs still pretty damn solid.
Demon Hunters are the king of kiting. If you want to get from Point A to B and on weekends, C, while still doing basically everything a normal tank would need to do, theyâre your pick.
Iâm keeping my eye on DHâs and Druids especially come 9.2, their tier sets are just outright insane.
Bear and pally are both a lot of fun to play. The flexibility of what Iâm going to use convoke or incarn on make for an interesting and impactful decision. However, no button in the game feels as good to press as divine toll. Tanks are really held up by their covenants it seems.
Do you want unkillable? Bear. Do you want something you could take into a pug and super hand hold? (mom tank) Pally? Do you want a tank thatâs keeps you on your toes to do the job? Blood dk or BM. I donât know what you do with DH⌠jump around a lot? I hate kiting so thatâs what they do. Warrior? Havenât seen a warrior all expansion in a dungeon.
Durid is the boring but easy role. Also the amount of noob durids I have seen over the years is high, most them have the mindset of âIâm bear, I can tank the whole room and not dieâ followed by the bear getting nuked then raging
On the flip side the good durids can be killer op
Pally is a bit harder but also a bit more fun (and still easy). Its my fav type of tank
I play every tank, my faves are definitely brewmaster for the awesome and engaging gameplay (and solid dps), and prot warrior with reprisal legendary (again, solid dps for a tank) - makes for some very fun and engaging gameplay.
Having said that, they are all fun in their own way. Prot pal can feel like playing a dps class with a shield sometimes lol, guardian druid is the tank I play when I feel like being godmode - nearly unkillable.
I love blood and itâs gameplay, but tbh it needs more damage.
