fury warrior/unholy DK
Ret Paladin > all others.
The only melee I play is Havoc DH, the only one I found fun to play (specially with Demonic Build).

Ret Paladin > all others.

I am curious why do you like ret?
Survival Hunter (main spec)
Outlaw Rogue
Frost DK
Fury Warrior
Enhancement Shaman
Feral and Sin rogue about the same.

The rest are kinda bleh.
As a warrior main for 10yrs and a ret paladin for 1yr, I'd have to say Fury is the t!ts, ret is a close second.

I only have 1 issue with fury tbh.

As ret each spell FEELS like it did something because of its SOUND. Each TV feels and sounds like a big umpf of damage.

Fury spells sound like a whiff. I get that it's really nit picky, but if my fury warriors spells had a nice hard hit sound, I'd have 100x more fun.

Class fantasy being the number 1 reason, and i like the numbers. I could never enjoy the play style of Warriors and rogues have been nerfed so hard by Blizzard that I cannot even consider playing it anymore. The others are also just too boring for me. Plus being a Paladin I can wear plate and dress us Barbi since my Paladin is a female belf but sadly I cannot post on her today due to that license sub being expired and this one runs out in a couple days :)

Idk about the quote but for me:

Ret is fun because of not only the damage but the utility I can bring. Doing Atal? No need to run from Rehzan, I'll just bop whoever he picks up so we can keep zerging him. Healer got CCd and we are getting pounded? Double WoG to fully heal the group. I can cleanse myself to save the healer a gcd, and have my own personal bubble to get out of sticky situations.

As far as the rotation goes, once you get into a good groove you become unstoppable. When all my buffs proc in Uldir, i have nearly 45% haste before lust. I have 0 down time. When we hit lust I literally hit TV every 2nd or 3rd GCD because i generate hopo so fast.
Quality of opinions here. Please keep posting :)
Fun is heavily determined by your desire for simple face roll key mashing or something more involved. If you like something more involved with great diversity, rogue is the answer.

First, all rogue specs play very different, and they are the only class with three melee dps. This means you have a great deal more variety and less chance of boredom. Additionally, you get more nerf protection with rogue at least one spec is always top tier.

Rogues are not hard to play, but they are harder to master with a higher skill cap than the other melees. I’m hoping you guys don’t ask me to explain cause I’ve done so many times.

rogues have to intensely Manage fast generating combo points that have some RNG without capping them, plus energy management, and dots on multiple mobs, this alone makes them more involved than other melees.

Outlaw doesn’t have dots, but does have three finishers, two cp generators, two ranged skills that are part of the melee rotation, and manages five roll the bones buffs, has to decide when to reroll based on buffs and how long Mobs will live. Has to decide which finisher to use with how many combo points. Rogue is hands down the most fun melee IMO.

You can check out the rotations and talents in the guides here. This is a pure rogue site.

I'd also go with rogues. Out of all the classes they're probably the least pruned besides DHs, and DHs were made in the "prune everything to hell" era.

Blizzard really loves taking away class utilities and abilities that are not directly a part of your rotation, for some reason they seem more averse to doing this with rogues, so you still have a lot of tricks you can do with your class. At least in my eyes this makes rogues most interesting out of all the melee options. Couple with what has already been said about rogues, they'd be my go-to recommendation.

Feral druids are pretty fun for me too when Bloodtalons, lunar inspiration, and savage roar are all the go-to talents. The rotation is engaging and actually challenging which cannot be said of pretty much any other rotation in the game right now. Though, sabertooth is kind of the meta at the moment which singlehandedly turns it from most challenging in the game to more of an average difficulty spec.

If you're looking at graphics, animations, and overall flashiness then I think DHs are the go-to, no contest.

Overall though I value the other things more so I'd go with rogue still.
